Like the old guy Autobot thread, who's your favorite youngster in a TF continunity,
We have Bumblebee, Hot Rod, and (shudders) Wheelie in G1. Also, Hound, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker to an extent.

We have Cheetor in Beast Wars

We have (shudders again) Nightscream in Beast Machines

We have Sideburn and Wedge in RID.

We have Hot Shot in Armada and Cybertron while we have (shudders again) Ironhide in Energon

We have Bumblebee and (shudders again) the twins in Movieverse.

We have Bumblebee (again) as well as The Jet Twins. Bulkhead and Blurr might be considered as well.

My favorite is Cheetor from Beast Wars.As the series progressed, he became more capable with his own abilities and he eventually became a a competent leader in his own right.
Hot Shot from Cybertron also fit this since he matured through out the series and became the leader of the Cybertron Defense Team.

TFA Bumblebee, he stands up for his friend Sari, plus he's fun and lovable.
Cheetor (Beast Wars) I just love his cheerfulness and bright personalty
Movie Bumblebee, He cares about his friends and even though he lost his legs in the Transformers movie he still took Decepticons down.
TFA Jet Twins, They crack me up with their accents and they combine into a bigger robot. That and they're just plain lovable.
and Hot Rod, He didn't give up even after they lost the Matrix of Leadership in The Transformers The Movie. That and he seems to be the only one that the Universal greeting works for.
    These guys rock!

I second cheetor for the same reasons, unlike most youngsters he actually does mature, and stay that way. Due to continuity conflictions between Hasbro and Takara Hot Shot forgot he was a mature leader type.

And I'd give an honorary mention to G1 Bumblebee, who was the character I liked the most as a kid (then again, I was a big fan of VW Bugs).

The decepticons really need a wrecklass youngster character. G1 Starscream came close at times, but wasn't quite there.

What? G1 'toon Rumble doesn't count?

I gotta go with Cheetor for being more developed than most, for his growth, for the way he'd screw up, learn from it, and try to be better. Also, his admiration for his elders and role-models felt very genuine. The fact that he did look up to and felt he should emulate more than one of the older Maximals seemed realistic, as he saw different things to admire in each of them.

G1 'toon (and comic) Bumblebee also. For the slight messiness of recent IDW stuff, the half-issue with him really got to the spark of the character. The fact that the Autobots knew he'd have to try and help someone really is what we expect from him.

I'm honestly not sure I'd count Movie Bumblebee. He didn't come off as that young and inexperienced to me at all. He was far more confident and capable than most Bumblebees. That meant I did like him, but because of that confidence. I just wish he got dialogue.

I'm going with Cheetor, because he actually had signifigant character development, specifically because we saw him "grow up", and eventually go from the "stupid kid" to the "responsible leader".

    Cybertron version. As for reasons:

Movie Bumblebee: Combines kindness and friendship with kick-skidplate fighting, resulting a good friend who is also a brave warrior. Plus, he's lovable. When Bee cried in the begging of ROTF, everyone in my theater gone "awwww".

Cybertron Hot Shot: He's got his kick-skidplate moments, is like Hot Rod at the begging but a little better, and turns out to be more mature when he gets his Cybertron Defense Team upgrade.

    Movie Twins: They're hilarious.

Movie BB. Because he's the only kid-appeal character to actually kill other bots, and seems to be able to do it pretty easily.

And the thread title sounds like it was written by Mr T. :p  "Who your favorite kid-appeal character, foo!?"

Well, he might not be young and inexperienced, but he definitely still is kid-appeal character Numero Uno in the movie-verse (hence the obvious overmarketing of him, moreso than even Prime at times).

I definitely like him, though, for being more aggressive and proficient in combat than most K.A. characters.

And Cheetor, for having matured through the course of the Beast series to be a dependable leader behind Primal.

Armada Hot Shot, definitely. He's a complete moron, but a lovable moron. Jolt in Cybertron was also a really fun character.

I never got why they made Chromedome the kid appeal character in Headmasters (well, aside from Wheelie). His design doesn't fit the mold at all.
