Hi, I have a question regarding the Leader class movie figures. Today at my local Target I saw Leader class Megatron and Leader class Brawl. Since I could only afford one, I decided to pick up Megatron, since I did not have him yet. Do you guys think I made the right decision? Because I was wondering if I should go back and swap Brawl for Megs, since Brawl looks like he is the better figure of the two. On the other hand, it would look silly for my collection to have Prime and not Megs to go with him. What do you think? 

 

Well of course it's based on which one you like, but I think Leader megs is horrible. Brawl is way better IMO, but I don't have or want any of the leader class movie toys.

 

Megatron doesn't even register on the radar compared to Brawl.

I already have Leader Megatron and I like it. I will DEFINITELY buy Leader Brawl when I see it though because it looks like a much better toy than the Decepticon leader.

 

Yea I figured Brawl was better. The funny thing is that my Target had about four Brawls but only one Megatron. I had a bad feeling that would have been the last time I could get Megs at retail, and I certainly don't want to pay Ebay prices for a figure that isn't all that great to begin with. I will definitely try to get Brawl later on though. He is a new release so I figure that could atleast buy me some time.

 

Brawl. I'm content with Voyager Megatron.

 

I try to only purchase figures I like except for exclusives. I’ve never liked Megs design and the paint scheme just makes it worse. I knew I wanted Leader Brawl as soon as I saw the deluxe design. The feedback for Brawl has been overwhelming positive. I believe Brawl ships with Megatron. The only case I can make for picking up Megs is that he may not ship in later waves. These figures are selling fast and it may be hard to find Megs at retail later.

As far as a Megatron to match every prime, I don’t think it is necessary especially if you don’t like the mold. I have a lot of Primes and Megatrons but if I don’t like the mold then its not in my collection (i.e. Armada Leader Prime)

Yeah I think leader Megs is friggin horrible too, it's alt mode and transformation to it are 100% useless. So that makes that decision easy for me...

Oh, also if leader Megs is shipping 1/1 in cases with Brawl, he is going to become a major shelf warmer (leader Megs is already a shelf-warmer here in Canada and the Brawl wave hasn't even hit yet).

I like Leader Meg's - I'd get both if possible.

 

Personally I'd lean towards your reasoning above and go with Megatron since Prime needs a counterpart and Brawl doesnt really fit that role, imo. That and I think Megs looks better than leader Brawl.

 

Both. Sorry, but I can't choose between two of the best Leaders out there.

I'd say Brawl though if I had to, because Megs' defalt colours just don't complete him.

Having bought Leader megs, and regretting it I'd have to go with Brawl.

Brawl. I passed on Megatron because Hasbro decided to paint him barbie pink and baby-blue. That, and his robot mode looks more like Decompose from Inhumanoids than it does 2007 Megatron.
