i can understand award season for film, broadway, music and all, but sometimes i think that on Reelz or IFC, they are actually gonna go so far as to carry the Dolly Grips Awards.
then the following week, the Caterers' Awards, followed by the Animal Wranglers' Awards.

eventually, the film industry will become like those PC soccer leagues where scores don't matter, we all win.
With the Razzies, even the losers of the past year can win something.

this may be a silly rant, but really, doesn't the proliferation of awards ceremonies take anything away from The Oscars or the Golden Globes?

...then again, i have felt the Oscars have been tarnished since that epic miscarriage of justice called "The English Patient" or "Shakespeare in Love."
