While that is true, Conceptron is way to confident in his script. He's also been building it up for quite some time, with nothing to show as of yet. At one point he promised the fandom he would wright it in just one day. It's been at least 2 months since then, if not longer, and he's still "working on it". To be honest, I won't believe that he's written a script till he actually posts it for us to read.

Never mind the fact that we get a lot of big talk and no actual reported progress...

 

I'll honestly give him credit if it's good, but at this rate, there is an extremely good chance that he won't actually write one, and he'll just continue to hype up something that'll never be done.

 

Wasn't his aim to do it in less time than the actual writers, because I could swear it didn't take them this long to get it done, and even then, didn't they have to research a lot of things on transformers while conceptron is already a fan and has more experience with transformers than the writers did when they wrote it so he has more chances of writing a somewhat worthwhile script. Also other aspects include deadlines and other pressure, while this guy has all the freedom in the world when it comes to making this script.

 

I'll jump on the bandwagon, when the script is done, I'll give it a try.

 

Regardless of the quality, if it is a full-fledged movie script then that is a significant effort. And as long as it doesn't involve Megatron/Starscream sexual intercourse, it would at least be fanfiction which deserves respect for the effort. So that is the credit due.

Now if it is good or consumable as a real movie or is a story that would only please "True Fans" and not the general movie going public, that has yet to be seen. Personally, the 'cry' has been a movie could 100% please the "true fan" while keeping the general populace entertained to make an equally successful movie, which Bay has qualitative and quantitative data has shown not to be true.

Only the script will tell if that is possible.

If he pulls out a script at all, he'll get some of my respect. If it's a good script, he'll get more.
If it's better than the movie was, and I honestly think that, I will tell him.

 

I'll do the same, but I fully expect a script that is grounded somewhat in the possible for a movie. Its gonna be a fine line between fanfic and something that could actually be accomplished.

 

Well, the only thing that you can prove now is that you can do better with no pay.

You've been going on about this wonder-script for too long to say you can do it with less time than the movie's writers.

I for one, am probably not going to read it. Honestly. I just don't have the attention span to do it; when the script for the actual TF movie leaked, I couldn't be bothered to read through that. That, and at this point, I really don't think I could be objective about it at all.

Almost done. I've done 80 pages now. There are a few pretty big battle battle scenes that I've tried to ground in some possibility.
