I still have my 20th Ann. Hasbro MP-01 somewhere. And I never upgraded to the better Starscream from MP-02.

I own 2 MP-01's and they are both fantastic. More than statues IMO. Of all my figures I have on display, no one drawls a crowd like MP-01. I like him because he towers over my 6" figures and just looks great. Prime holds all the poses I need and I just don't care about scaling with the other figures, that is what MP-10 is for and that works for me. I consider MP-01 and MP-05 as nice variants in MP line and without them the MP line wouldn't be where it is today. Bring on MP-39.

I've still got all my MP01-09 although many of them are back in their boxes. MP05 is the only one I sold a spare off of. It's my least favorite of the pre-reboot bunch.

I never changed him either, because (in all honesty) I prefer the MP-3 mould to MP-11. Dat alt mode!

MP-1 (Hasbro 20th Anniversary version) is what got me back into Transformers. I can't imagine ever selling him. Screaming at him, ruing the day I ever saw him, weeping as I gaze upon him and my now consistently empty wallet... sure. But selling? Nah.

Seriously, beyond the fact that the figure is still an amazing piece of detail and engineering, worthy of a spot in my "scale-matters-not" collection, it is a sentimental thing. Sorta like, if I ever came across my original G1 Optimus with the missing leg... I don't think I'd toss that old figure away.

I still have the Hasbro 20th Anniversary version of MP-1 along with TT MP-5 displayed next to each other and on a separate shelf. They look good together, so I'll keep them where they are. I also have the sloppy, floppy Walmart version of Skywarp and TRU's Thundercracker.

MP's are some of the very few toys that I've never sold or traded away. The others being my Kaiju collection.

I still have the Hasbro 20th Anniversary MP-1 with upgraded stacks on display with the rest of my small MP collection. I still have my TRU MP-10 sealed and just haven't had the urge to open it.

Still have mine and love them. Both are in excellent condition. These guys are absolute classic. They're a bit of a challenge to pose, though:D  IMG_20170607_143925.jpg

Still have all of them, but these are in storage since I don't have the display room any longer. Even the Hasbro version with the burn/battle damage.

When MP-1 came out, it was the best figure EVER. Don't think I've ever transformed a figure in my collection as much and I've been collecting since G1 1984.

No figure since has kept my interest as much as MP-1 has.

@Sixo needs to get in here and show off his poses for the mould, he managed pretty well :thumb

I always loved @Trailbreaker77's pose of MP-2 polishing his blaster with a cloth, too!

Same here. I have multiple copies of MP-1 despite MP-10 being my first MP. There's something to be said about the figure's heft in hand and the gimmicks they implemented for it is simply unreal. My first copy of the mold was a 20th anniversary Hasbro one (grey blaster), then had one separated out from an MP-4, then I went on to buy the MP-04, the MP-01L and an early "Master Piece" version as well as another 20th anniversary Hasbro one. Yeah...probably went a bit overboard there...

I couldn't get rid of MP1-MP9. Hasbro or TT. A lot of fun years collecting the line.

LOL, I can't believe you remembered that photo, heck I'm surprised you knew it was mine. I sold my MP-1, MP-2, MP-4 and Hasbro MP Prime last year, so I wouldn't need to buy another Detolf for the new MP's. I was able to dig up that photo though. LOL

Thanks for all the great insights, seems like the original Prime mold holds a lot of nostalgia for people. I too was originally going to keep mine but the lure of newer seems to be stronger at the moment. What really gets me is the inability to hold a decent pose so other than have it in the box I wouldn't really be enjoying it. Interesting too that MP1 seems to be more popular than MP4. I see why though, I don't really display my MP10 trailer.

My MP2 and MP4 are all boxed up and ready to ship / sell and I'm not missing them. I guess that says it all. Decisions, decisions...hmmm

20th Anniversary Masterpiece Optimus Prime was my first Masterpiece, and it was a birthday present from my mother. Even if I got MP-10 in some form, I'd still keep him around. He's got some truly nice features, and he is a lot of fun to mess around with sometimes.

I actually have 2 MP-01's. One is still in box, though it's beat to hell. The figure is solid though and untouched.
