If Michael Bay does not want to direct TF5 Who Will i want Christopher Nolan to direct
There were a lot of great suggestions in the multiple other threads we've had discussing this exact topic.
You could probably take any of the names suggested in these threads:
And merely switch "Transformers X" or "Transformers reboot" for "Transformers 5".
Christopher Nolan will never direct a Transformers movie, and that's a good thing. Don't get me wrong, he's a fantastic director, but his style would does not fit with Transformers.
so this is my thread i want ideas on my thread
yes of course, because you are just so special
when of coure the same "ideas" you are going to get in "your thread" are just going to be the same ones in those threads ever think of that???
Definitely Joss Whedon all the way. The Avengers was class
He actually is.
I have an idea on your thread: it's rather pointless.
Actually, it is not. It was CREATED by you, but since this is a public forum, from the moment you post your thread, it becomes the forum's thread, and therefore, everybody's thread.
And saying you want ideias on your thread, which is everybody's, is like saying the ideas on the other endless threads that tylermirage was so kind to show, which are everybody's threads as well, are meaningless.
i think justin lin would be great
I say Joss Whedon, It couldn't hurt to have him on board that's for sure.
Someone who actually gives two shits about Transformers , the charecters and stories, and not just for how profitable it is.
Problem is, that person also has to be able to manage a summer tentpole production that is massively profitable. And if the studio has to choose between emotional attachment and understanding of Transformers and understanding the process of making a blockbuster movie on time and on budget, they're gonna go with the $ every time.
Would not work. Nolan's films focus on humanity. The Batman trilogy is a series of movies about Bruce Wayne, with hardly any Batman in there compared to other Batman movies. While he's a good director, if he were to direct Transformers it would be a movie about Spike's emotional struggle as robots appear on his planet. The "constructive" criticism people have made on Bay's movies proves that Transformers fans don't want human-centric movies.
Yet how can we get great adaptations like The Dark Knight and Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Why because they care and their successful films because they care about the charecters and the stories. The average film goers love seeing Transformers films but its time we got a film that does the material justice.
As long as the new director doesn't take a 180 degree turn or make the movies any less cool, I'd go with any good action director.
Though I actually hope Bay changes his mind for the 70014678.2th time, because what he did to TF was awesome.
Raimi as long as he doesn't hate a particular character because we know what happened with Venom.
Nolan knows how to respect the damn source material, and he focuses on interpersonal relationships. It's not that he'd focus on humans, it's that he'd make the TFs fleshed out and very human like characters.
Burton would give us creepy looking, singing, and dancing claymation TFs, and it would somehow still be awesome. Johny Depp would somehow be worked in.
Separate names with a comma.
