what cybertron figure or figures would you want to see rereleased as botcon exclusive figures people?

i can think of only 2

cybertron metroplex remolded and rereleased as fortress maximus

    http://www.corvusonline.net/temp_pics/MetroMax01.jpg

    http://www.corvusonline.net/temp_pics/MetroMax02.jpg

picture the botcon figure sporting the best of both pictures people.

and cybertron menasor remolded and rereleased as omega supreme

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=152792&highlight=omega+supreme

either one would seriously rock hard

    what are your thoughts people?

metroplex is too big for a botcon exclusive so there's no way that will happen.

there's more interesting toys and characters than cybertron menasor and omega supreme.

    I don't support over priced Botcon figures that I can't possibly afford.........EVER!!!

I support robot points that you cut off the packages & send in for an exclusive.

Be awesome if they had a classics/movie shockwave of some sort.

They can't use the movie figures because of licensing costs involving dreamworks and GMC.

At the FP roundtable, they said that Leader figures would be a possibility in the future, but that packages would be correspondingly more expensive. For a great figure, I wouldn't mind.
    PERFECT.
Right, 'cause Robot Point exclusives wouldn't end up scalped on eBay. And as mad as you might be, BotCon will have exclusives. Buy 'em or don't, you might as accept that they're not going away.
For most of 'em, yeah, that's true--but multiple molds would be available. Swindle, Dreadwind, the Real Gears, Voyager Megs, Payload, Longarm, Dropkick, and probably a few others I'm forgetting.

That's one thing I hate about the botcon exclusives, hundreds of dollars for something that should cost maybe $70. Otherwise I'd love to see Cybertron renditions of the Head/Power/Targetmasters. But I think it would be better if they could get their hands on some reissue molds and make those into customs. Seekers into the duplicates, Autobots into the Golden Lagoon version, sh!t like that.

While I think you have a point, I think Botcon exclusives are a good idea... but only if they do odd/obscure characters (I think making the remaining three decepticon classics seekers Botcon exclusives was totally not cool, but the rest of them fit the bill). I think the Dawn Of Future's Past set was a GREAT idea... take the molds from one series and apply characters from a different series - THAT was cool.

Repainting Starscream into Thundercracker, Ramjet into Dirge and doing a wing remold on Ramjet to make him Thrust... not very cool to make an exclusive out of. :(

Put em out at retail, Hasbro, and you'll make "mad loot" (to use a term I don't normally use, but find rather amusing)... would piss off collectors who got em there, though.

    Seriously, I just want a Thundercracker. :(

As far as the original topic... Cybertron had a LOT of really good toys... Armorhide as Huffer was really cool (good choice - Pipes would have been too little of a recolor)... a full sized CDF Red Alert into Perceptor would be sweet. Thundercracker could be repainted into a number of the G2 Cyberjets... Breakdown could make a good Kup if you turned his alt mode around, but he'd be too small, I think. Give Red Alert two hands, he might make a good Ratchet...

for the numbers they are created in, they are not over-priced at all. you're wrong.

few people who buy botcon exclusives can really afford them which is why they have to save throughout the year just like you would have to. so you're wrong there too.

    Bingo!!

I'm already doing what I have to do every year, and that's saving all my change and returning cans to save up for the Botcon exclusives, it CAN be done people!!

I would LOVE that Fortmax... Sadly I expect that kinda remolding is unrealistic for the fine folks who put together Botcon. Someone on the club forum did or showed from elsewhere a digibash of Menasaur straight recolored into Omega Supreme, and that was cool.

    My favorite self-made Botcon ideas involving Cybertron molds;

    Sideways as Ratbat
    Sideways as Onyx Primal
    Sideways as Bat Optimus Primal
    Sideways as Mindwipe
Sideways as new character Talon with colors based on Farscape Peacekeeper ships
(am I a freak for GF Noisemaze? Nawwwww)
Scattorshot as new character Vehicon Flak with desert camo pattern, extra versions of figure with slightly different color scheme and "movie drone" style heads as Drones.

If Cyb Metroplex was ever used I'd love them to use it as Actionmasters Elite Windmill. No remolding needed on the main toy just add a rotor blade or replace the staff weapon with them.

And I still want to see Cyb Downshift as Wheeljack and Slicer.

Do not get upset cause you can not go to Botcon and get the firgures at cost. By that remark I take it you want those that do you go to botcon that resell the botcon toys at cost or below cost. Well guess what they are toys that collector want and that what drives up the price.

I agree with the Dawn of Futures Past idea. That was really cool, though I couldn't afford it or go. I like how every Botcon thread turns into the seekers debacle debate, freekin hilarious! Cybertron had some really good molds that would make great ideas like the Alpha Trion this past year or the Huffer. Based on that I would like to see Cyb Jetfire in G1 colors, maybe Quickmix in G1 devy colors along with Metroplex in the same color scheme. I also would like to see a Cyb Ops Ldr in Ultra Magnus with a sonic bomber in a matching color scheme. Or the same in nemesis colors like the one MacrossFA19 did.

Love the idea of using cybertron sideways as G1 Mindwipe or Ratbat!

I'd love to see Metroplex painted in G1 Metroplex. As much as I love that Cyb Menasor as Omega Supreme bash, he's just to tiny. I would like to see Energon Omega painted as g1 Omega. However I doubt we'll see those as con exclusives so I'm keeping hope they will come out in classics 2.0.

After Weirdwolf came out, I want to see more Headmaster and Targetmaster homages for botcon. I don't know what molds they would use though. (Aside from the Sideways as Mindwipe idea)

Animated toys won't be remotely to a point where BotCon could use them by next spring. They may not even be *out* then in any force.

Also, I believe all movie toys, period, are off the block, due to the shared licensing with Paramount that's involved.
