I like the new HA basics, but they have few cons and also lack the often neat modes from the Scouts.
I like them both, too. I'm not getting every HA basics like I did with early ROTF Scouts though, that's probably not the toys' fault
Alt mode in HA basics are alright to me. They are doing well with that size and the mandatory compatibility with human figures.
I'm missing it. There was some utter gold in that Scout line. Cyberverse is just too small to replace it and although I have a handful of the HA Basics, their three modes generally limits them.
I miss them all the time. HA Basics don't come close. I see them more as the successor to PCCs than scouts.
Commander class is alright, but a bit tiny and fiddily.
I don't like HA figures, but ROTF scouts were good. I just wished RTS would have been more successful.
I don't miss my ROTF scouts. I still play with them.
Ransack, Dirt Boss and Ejector are glorious.
But, yes, DOTM HA basics and C Commanders can't touch them. Will get Hatchet, though.
I bought a case in order to get Windcharger and haven't had a chance to open most of them yet. What I have experience playing with are Breacher, Skystalker, Windcharger and Beachcomber, and every one's a hit.
I miss them very much. Basics are, as mentioned, limited by their three modes and need to incorporate the human figure. And Cyberverse are just too small. I WANT THE SCOUTS BACK!
I miss classics scouts
I loved the Scouts from RotF (and PCCs for that matter), but am not feeling the HA Basics. I especially liked Skystalker, Dirt Boss (and Deadlift) and Knockout (and all his repaints.)
Yeah, I really enjoyed the scout size. I don't know if Cyberverse is a permanent replacement, but judging by its continuation into Prime, I'm a little sad. And it's not just RtS/RotF scouts! The Cybertron scouts are also still neat figures, though I think Breacher and Skystalker are close to the pinnacle of that size class.
Not to mention that since there's not a scout line they can't sneak in Rumble. :'(
Oh yeah, I LOVE Rumble and Frenzy! I suppose they don't count being United releases only to date.
I miss them too, RotF Scouts were awesome.
I'm not a huge fan of the HA basics, so I definitely prefer the ROTF scouts. I have to say, though, that most of the scouts that I purchased have lost their appeal after the last few years. Ejector is the only one that comes to mind that I still pick up and fiddle with. TFTM Real Gear figures, however, are still a great source of entertainment for me!
I miss them mostly since Rumble and Frenzy never arrived, but also because there were some really interesting choices and they mostly ranged from good to great in my book.
I don't consider HA basics comparable. It's not because of quality, it's just that designing them in order to incorporate the human makes them different to me.
Cyberverse Commanders are similar to me, but I'd like more unique characters. The Primes and Megatrons and all are good, but it's more of a "I'm surprised this isn't garbage at this size!" rather that it's own cool thing.
I miss the scouts.
Cyberverse- while cool in its own right- just doesn't cut it for me. Powerglide was the exception... but Ironhide, Megatron, Sentinel, Optimus- basically big characters just don't cut it for me.
Now, there was this jet that turned into some panther or something, was really cool. But again- too big of concept for such a small package.
I loved them too! They had a nostalgic flavor of going back to the roots, with simple but effective alt modes such as a forklift, a WWI plane, a motorcycle...
I sorta wish they just merged RTS and Generations and gave Generations Voyagers and Scouts.
I miss the ROTF line full stop. ROTF superior,DOTM inferior..
HA basics aren't so readily available here in the UK and cyberverse commanders replaced scouts on the shelves, poor replacement and a higher price point is just sad tbh.
