Out of all the Toylines/groups for Transformers. Micromasters remain my favorite.... Micromaster Countdown is my favorite base/ TF Figure of all. Rocket Launch Base turns into a command center that can be used for Micromasters and Minicons [possibly Scout Class figures too and Legends Class] The only 3 or 4 I've had over the years has been Erector, Roughstuff, Overload, Skystalker, and Countdown. Still, anyone else like the Micromaster series? I'd LOVE to have the Micromasters see a re-release!
I really like them. It might have soemthing to do with the fact that I got a set (Autobot Off-Road Patrol) as a prize for having a letter printed in the Marvel comics back in the 80s. I certainly prefer them to minicons at any rate!
Back in the day I lost interest in Transformers with the onset of the Pretenders, so I missed the Micromaster "era." I don't know enough about them to have a strong opinion about the line -- although I do like some of the smaller Transformers which have been released in recent years.
I love the little guys to bits. I own Skystalker, Flattop, Greasepit, Airwave, the Blackout/Spaceshot anti-aircraft base, Bombshock's Military Patrol, the Air Strike Patrol and the Battle Squad.
Skystalker and Countdown are my favorite ones of all. Just gotta love the big bases! They're such cool little figures, they really need a new updated release!
I haven't had any hands-on stuff to do with the micromasters, but I do love both tiny Transformers and bases that can work with them.
They're awesome! I'm on my way trying to complete a US set, I'm only missing the Combiner teams, two of the Combiner Transports, Hot Rod and Race Track patrol and a couple of ramps from various bases. After my set is complete I'm gonna do a group photo.
I have the reissue Micromaster combiner teams (Six Wing, Six Train, etc) and I am happy with those. Right now I don't want to add any more to the collection; I'm fine collecting Minicons instead.
I love them. I am not interested in the normal G1 Baseformers, but I would love to collect all the Micromaster Stuff, along with some of the Japanese recolors as well. Hell I would love to see more Micromaster updates in the future as well. Not to mention seeing Sixwing and Sixbuilder repainted as G2 Superion and G2 Devestator. That would be fantastic. Heck, if they started repainting minicons as Micromaster team homages in 4 packs, I would buy them in a heartbeat.
I believe I have every Micromaster mold. Really like how they interact with the vehicles. Much better than the Action Masters from the next year.
I've got a nice little collection started of Micros for when my kids are a bit older. But I love them to death also. I remember getting Countdown for Xmas as a kid and initially being disappointed that it wasn't Metroplex. But once I started playing with it I got over that. That little lunar rover is one of my favorite toys. And the base is awesome to boot!
I have most of the non Japanese ones. I love the Rescue and Battle Patrols. I actually won Countdown in the competition in Issue 250 of the UK comic back in 89. First time I won anything. I really liked the MTMTE characterisations in their profiles because I found the writers seemed to see each bot the way I did. I did like the mini-series. I'm also a fan of the recent homages. I like the idea of larger versions of the Micros like Treadbolt, Big Daddy and Flak. Evac would make a great Blazemaster. The Energon Combiner Micros were cool too. I like to think Micro Devestator was the transition between G1 and Actionmaster Devestator. That the Constructicons were rebuilt as Micros for whatever reason before they were infused with Nucleon and that's why Devestator is the same size as normal TF's in the Actionmaster era.
I discovered them about a year ago & I've since fallen head-over-heels in luv with them! Having just about completed the Patrols, Squads & Countdown (the last few Ebay packages should be showing up in a week or two), my problem right now is finding the space to display them all. They're breeding like rabbits...
Don't you mean breeding like tribbles? I am bidding on a few Micromaster lots on ebay hopefully I'll get em. Still Micromasters ROCK.
