I really love the alligatorcon from that episode when they dismantle optimus prime. I really want a 3p figure of that. Really!

    Glit.

Now when I first learned about Glit I thought he was the dumbest TF ever. A compasionate Decepticon medic, who is so liked by his fellow Decepticons that they kept Megatron from punishing him for fixing Autobots? At first I thought that was stupid, plus the whole pop singer group thing. But dropping the singing bit...

It starts making sense. First off Decepticon medics are rather rare. Even rarer are ones that-
A-Aren't sadists that will make repairs as painful as possible for their own amusement.
    B-Actually know what their doing.
C-Mad scientists who will take this chance to try that new upgrade they've been working on.
So of course the other Cons would love him. Punishing him would be horrible for morale. Then I thought about how he'd fit right in with the IDW Decepticons. Think about it, a cat cassette who's a good doctor? Put him back when the functionalists were running things he'd be top of their shitlist. Even in modern times we've had an story arc about the importance of hands for a medic, according to Ratchet. And Glit has no hands. Then you have the whole thing with a merciful compassionate Decepticon having to deal with the way the cons gradually become more brutal...

Also Devcon. But hopefully keeping his friendly sociable personality, and not making him the the generic badass "I work alone" bounty hunter.

I had that toy, and I loved it too. As for tactical advantage, in monster form he had his claws, so he could rend and hook onto his foes. He had the ability to jump, and I think he had thrusters sculpted into his wing casing, so he had more manuveribility, plus he breathed fire. So monster form was good for assualt purposes.

Personality-wise, I really like Big Convoy, since he's the only good Prime/Convoy (to my knowledge) that would rather be annihilating Predacons as opposed to leading his respective faction. For actual design, Hein(l/r)ad is excellent. He's both silly as a design, yet aesthetically pleasing.

Although, I'm not too sure if they'd be considered obscure, since Big was the Maximal leader in a Beast Wars...albeit one released exclusively in Japan.

really depends. if you could call just a bio card enough to fill out a character Micro Master Overload was cool to me. I'd say Thunderwing but really while he does not pop up much when he does show up he's been a big deal.

Now I want to see this in IDW.

As for favorite obscure Transformer.... does Blast Off count as obscure? He may, though a lot of people would at least know the Combaticons/Bruticus.

Do Nightbird and Scrounge count? Do they even count as a Transformer? XD I liked both as a kid.

Blast Off doesn't seem too obscure, sorry.

    Scrounge definitely counts.
Nightbird too, since she is still a Transformers Character, even ifn't an actual Transformer. Just like Carly, ...except she's not obscure.

But how to depict him... In his G1 cassette form or pull a beast wars ravage and make him have a humanoid robot mode?

I dunno if they count as "obscure", but there's something about Runabout and Runamuck I love. They're less soldiers than they are two braindead bullies/troublemakers, and that dumb mean-spiritedness makes them lovable in my view.

Punch/Counterpunch from IDW. Punch is not in IDW you say?

    Consider Agent 113....

I'd go with the G1 cassette. I think he needs to have felt the whole brunt of the racism of the council era, and he gets a double dose of that if he's both a beast and cassette. I can see him practicing medicine in secret, and being an outlaw for defying the functionalists take on what he should be. And like I said it raises interesting points since Ratchet made such a big deal about hands, and Glit doesn't have any, yet is still a skilled doctor.

And how would someone so compassionate have handled it as the Con's got more brutal? Especially if he managed to retain his compassion?

That could have been any white cat sharing Ravage's body type. Just throw in a line where someone laments how many like them were slaughtered during the war. I mean Rewind is the last "Disposable" caste, but at one point their were a lot of them.

Who is already stated to be someone else. I think they bailed on the Counter/Punch idea years ago. Unless
    Vos
is Counter/Punch, in which case he's someone else too and also probably dead now and not really much of an IDW character to begin with.

I vote Dogfight. I think it was his design in Stormbringer that did it.
