I just finished watching it for the first time....
And I may like it more then G1 but anywho....

Of course Optimus Primal is my favorite.

Thrust

 

Definitely Jetstorm. It's unfortunate he turned out to be Silverbolt... They should have waited til the end of the second season to change him back so we could have had more Jetstorm love.

I thought Primal, Megatron, and Rattrap were handled the worst compared to their BW characterization. Cheetor grew as a character the most.

 

Character: Jetstorm. He got all the best lines.

Toy: Probably Obsidian. One of the best Basics we've ever had.

 

Character: You know, I'm actually having trouble deciding between Jetstorm, Tankor, Cheetor, and Nightscream. I'll have to think on this more.

Toy: Buddha Primal. This guy is hilarious. He's the only toy I've seen that can be put into a "trying to relieve constipation" pose and while the face definitely helped, posing him with Cybertron Shortround in toilet mode made it awesome awesome. Top it off with the fact that the toy has a "fling poo" attack and he's one of my favorite beast figures.

 

Jetstorm, Tankor, and Thrust. Hopefully, the trend there is apparent  

 

HA! Before I even opened this thread I was going to say Jetstorm! Who knew that everyone else would get there before me.

Oh well, it just shows how awesome he is. Such an original voice for a TF character.

Character wise Jetstorm, brought some humor(albeit dark humor) to a dark series. Design wise I gotta go with Thrust, love the mono wheeled bot mode as well as the slick motorcycle.

 

Cheetor, like someone said before,he recievedt and most sensible character progression from from where he was at when Beast Wars finished, plus he looked awesome, shame the toys generaly didn't. However I also really liked Primal and Megatron and dont find their character progression as jarring as others did.

Toywise my favoure Beast Wars toy was actually an RID toy, Air Attack Optimus Primal, one of my favourite Tranformers toys of all time, a mite too big but very show accurate ever down to having Gary Chalks actual voice.

 

Obsidian and Strika were my favorite show characters while Rattrap was my fovorite toy, mainly cos he was one of the few who could actually look like they did in the show.

I remember being dissapointed with the show then it was on back in 2000 cos it was so so different to Beast Wars (Change?? NO!!). The humour has diminished and the characters, despite names and appearences, didn't seem like the same guys I grew to love during Beast Wars. HOWEVER I've watched it again since and it's grown on me a lot more. Primal and his band of techno hippies won me over in the end  

Except Nightscream. He was a jerk.

 

Cheetor. IMO he's the only character that really evolved over the course of both Beast series
