To be up front I love to get the classics version but I refuse to pay what he going for :banghead:  . So my question who is the better runner-up?

Edit: What I mean for runner-up is any of the Unicron trilogy, movie figure, or any Jetfire from another line.

Well if he means the same mold, then there's really just the Red/White/Green KOs that surfaced last year (other than the other version of the classics & the dark one which is probably more than any of the others), but now that KOtoys is dead, those are probably just as hard to find.

i think you can still find a decent price on a loose complete one. or you could wait till a third party makes a better jetfire and then buy the classics when the price drops a bit.

Your next options would seem to be the Robot Masters toy in a Jetfire deco, or a Valkyrie KO?

I doubt a 3rd party option would have much impact on price. Would probably cost as much as the going rate for the real thing, and many of the target market would quite feasibly have both anyway.

If you want a G1 looking Jetfire, then Classics jetfire would be the cheapest option, so I don't really know what you're after here - just any toy named Jetfire? A cardboard cut out? Just how much are you willing to lower your standards?

It's all up to you, ofc...but if I were to give you any advice it would be to save up for a henkei/classics one - he is pricier, yes...but that is beceause he is a damn good toy

I use RID Storm Jet as my Classics Jetfire. He's in G1 Jetfire's colors.

I'm fairly actively looking for the Robot Masters homage myself. Good luck with that.

I'd say that if you want a "Jetfire" homage figure and you can't afford the Classics (my favorite) then you'll want to get either the Titanium, which is fairly good as a bot, and fairly terrible as a jet, or the Legends figure, or Storm Jet from RID.

I have a hard time considering the Jetfire molds from Energon, RoTF, or Armada as Jetfire. Most are just flat out the wrong color scheme or are the wrong kind for aerial vehicle.

Not that you'd be able to find it, but the Animated Jetfire had a great toy - show accurate, poseability, and a combiner with Animated Jetfire. Of course he wasn't based on the original Jetfire, but he was still a damn good toy.

Yeah, I have one of those and it's nice. Mine unfortunately suffers from the usual KO problems, odd plastic quality, poor paint quality, etc. But it is nice.

I finally found an actual R-blade on eBay but it is $75.00 after shipping. I'll keep scanning the boards here I guess for a legit one. The KO will work till that happens.

I just also found the Kabaya Jetfire model online. Can't seem to buy just him yet, but he looks ok as a cheap stand in.

Why? I'd have bought them and auctioned them on ebay:

Note I said auction. I don't scalp but start them at 99 cents and see where they go :)
