There hasn't been a thread on this as far as I can tell, so here we go. Arcee has been called the show's resident ninja, sort of like Prowl was in Animated. I can see why - she has those blades and a very ninja-like fighting style.

However, I personally feel like Wheeljack fits the ninja role better. We've only seen him in action a couple of times, but I get a really strong ninja vibe from him. Not only does he have those badass swords - he even has a mask!

Who do you think is the better ninja-bot? Arcee, Wheeljack, or maybe someone else entirely? Edit: ON TF: PRIME

 

In my opinion I think Prowl is. No offense to the fans of the above characters. =]

 

Wheeljack is more samurai than ninja - samurai wore masks, too. And I prefer to compare Arcee to Chinese martial artists who use blades. A wuxia heroine, for you people familiar with the genre.

I voted for Wheeljack although I believe in Soundwave.

 

Neither one of them is ninja-like in any way. Arcee jumps high and Wheeljack uses swords. That don't make 'em ninjas.

Now Prowl? He was a ninja bot. Stealthy, tricky, used tools and misdirection. He's the closest thing to an actual ninja TFs is ever gonna get.

 

Pffffffffffffffffffff Prowl is the only ninja bot.

 

I picked Wheeljack because I like him, even though he is, as it has been said, more Samurai.

Miko though is. She can become silent and unseen at will if it involves making incredibly stupid and life threatening decisions.

 

I kinda have to agree with Nacht here. To be more accurate, Arcee's fighting style seems more reminiscent of a type of orental martial arts style like kung fu, though I don't doubt that her fighting abilities and combat style in general were inspired by TFA Prowl initially. BB is a boxer. And Wheeljack is basically Dirft with the samurai blades.

Now I'm curious to know if there was ever a cyber-ninja school in the Prime universe that may have taught different forms of fighting styles.

Prowl. Even in the very first episode, he doesn't take shit from Megatron. Also, Jeff Bennet is awesome. Case closed.

 

Soundwave is the superior ninja, obviously. And wheeljack is incredibly obviously a samurai/ronin.

 

Animated Prowl is a better and more honorable ninja. He even sacrificed himself and he can use the force.

 

How are people equating Soundwave with 'ninja'? I swear, the term is used way too liberally nowadays.

 

I'm a bit curious on that myself.

Maybe it's cuz he doesn't talk and appears behind people to creep them out?
