If you want a similar origin, Bluestreak. Personality... can't think of anyone, really.

An interesting question. The only character that even remotely comes to mind is Grimlock, if simply because both he and Optimus have similar goals (winning the war, for one), but use radically different methods.

Grimlock is more Wolverine than Batman.

Mirage probably has the skill of batman, and the stealth, but not the attitude or the drive. Nightbeat's the detective of the autobots. None of the autobots have the emotional and mental baggage Batman has, except perhaps Punch/Counterpunch. Punch's identity issues are far deeper than Batman's, IMO.

Jazz I think would be the closest if you gave him a darker edge. He doesn't have the armor or the strength of Optimus, but he's fearless and goes where other Autobots fear to tread.

I find it offensive to even remotely compare optimus prime to that hack superman :lol   (j/k btw in case the smilies weren't clear:p )

But to answer your question, I'd have to say wheeljack.

Wheeljack doesn't have any real powers like mirage's invisibility, hound's holograms, etc.... Instead he relied mostly on gadgets and his brains to do things.

    That makes sense.

How do you see Prowl as being Batman-ish, though? When I think G1 Prowl, I think of a logical, by-the-book prick (doesn't seem very Batman to me).

On the other hand, if you are referring to Prowl's recent move in AHM #15, I can totally see that as being Batman-esque. It's sneaky and underhanded, and pushes Prowl, however logical his actions may have been, slightly closer to being a villainous character. Batman is certainly closer to straddling the line between "hero" and "villain" than Superman (their differing methods being a prime, if you'll excuse the pun, example).

Ultimately, a true Batman to Prime's Superman would have to be a combiner made up of Grimlock, Nightbeat, Prowl, and others, I'd say.

Ironhide - he's tougher, grimmer, and grittier.

Just to be different, I say omega supreme. He is dark and introspective, powerful and to the point.

Probably because none of them quite fit the role.

Actually, you know who really fits the Batman role? Spike.

No, really. He's got none of the "powers" Prime does; he has to rely on his wits and the equipment he built; he was motivated to do this by an attack on his family.

If you're talking about Animated Prime than I'd say Prowl.

Megatron. Same goals but different methods of reaching that goal, one far darker than the other.
