I haven't been too thrilled with voyager prime molds since the 07 movie, but I gotta admit the new Defender Prime may be the one i get.

(actually, i had intended to pass on Ldr Prime and just get Defender Prime, that's how much i like this new one.)

anyone else going to pick him up or have you had your fill of the voyager mold of Prime?

I've passed on all the voyager Primes. I have ROTF Leader Class Prime and pose him with others like my voyager Ratchet and Ironhides.... He does look neat, but it's Mindwipe that has me anticipating the wave 2 voyager release.

Is that that half-assed silver-white-pink one?

    Yeah, no.

I've got the original version of Voyager OP, I don't feel the need to buy any more unless Hasbro give us a significantly different deco.

I would buy a Nemesis Prime or an Ultra Magnus (in the Classics/Animated colors).

nemesis yes, Um....maybe, Defender never. I dont feel this mold is that epic to justify the amount of repaints it already has in such a short period of time, with the possible exception of NP or UM.

youve already got the original, robovision, screen battles, first strike, ROTF voyager and now defender all in a 2 (or so) year time frame.....enough already JMO

No. I already own the First Strike (G1) repaint, and I'm actually not that fond of the mold. (Plus I already own 2 movie 1 Leaders and 2 of the awesome ROTF Leaders).

There's simply no need for me to get another movie Optimus, especially not one that is smaller, weaker, and with a paintjob I don't like. :)

No, because it looks pretty crappy, to be honest.

Love the mold, but far too much of that ugly grey plastic to interest me. I'll stick to my lovely First Strike Prime and the pair of original version that I've got.

Maybe, but if I do, it'll be an impulse buy, and he'll be renamed Ultra Magnus.

Maybe to display next to my First Strike. Different enough to warrant a buy.

That would be the only reason I ever get it. I have Leader Prime, so I don't need another movie Optimus.

I've got the Robovision and First Strike versions of this mold. The only way I'd buy it again would be in magnus or nemesis colors or with some interesting remolding.

At this point, i'd be inclined to say that a large chunk of those who buy it will either be completists, or relative newcomers.

I'd imagine that most of the average long term collectors are pretty tired of this mold by now.

No. I got the one from the "Freeway Brawl" version, and while I like the mold for its high points, it's certainly not one of the better molds even from the 07 Movie line, so I'm not going to bother with Defender.
