As far as who is bigger, Unicron. He's often been shown to be larger than Cybertron, which is what Primus transforms into. The artwork you posted of Unicron is similar to one of the scenes from the Movie comic, which had Unicron stand on Cybertron and look very big indeed.

I think off hand, the only time Unicron's ever been smaller, was in the Armada show when he was Cybertron's moon. And then it was a close thing, he was still pretty huge. The Armada comic made Unicron about the same relative size as in G1, as did Energon (sort of), the Marvel G1 comic had Unicron be even more gigantic. Picture a child standing on top of a beach ball. The kid's Unicron, the beach ball was Cybertron. More or less that kind of proportion to it.

Unicron standing on Cybertron in the movie sure showed UNICRON as the smaller one. Otherwise he wouldn't really be able to STAND on it.

Wait, wait, wait...Since when is scale ever consistent in Transformers, especially G1? You can't try to use the cartoon to compare scales of a character who had no cartoon incarnation.

Which shows there is no consistent scale for those characters.

For the newbies, general rule of thumb is this. If you can ignore scale and continuity, G1 will be a much easier series of comics and cartoons to enjoy.

It really just depends on the continuity.
The size of Cybertron (and therefore Primus) varies drastically between universes.

Probably Unicron, since he hid as Cybertron's moon in Armada, and last I checked, the only toy he's really gotten as a planet was during Armada. Heck, if you put the Cybertron Primus figure next to Armada/Energon Unicron, Unicron's the bigger one! That's going off of toy size, though, since the cartoons almost always screw things up.

Going by the toys, Unicron is bigger than Primus.

The cartoons on the other hand (even with inconsistencies of scale) tend to show Unicron as being smaller than Cybertron, suggesting Primus to be bigger.

Personally, I like to think of them as being roughly the same size.

Unicron. You can tell from TF the Movie that he's towering Cybertron. But he somehow got shrunk and became small in TF Cybertron. That's evolution :D .

I always thought Unicron was bigger than Primus by a little bit.
Unicron was bigger as a toy too.

I just remembered a picture I once saw at Shortpacked that showed how big Unicron would have had to been in relation to Cybertron when he was standing on top of it in the movie...
    Unicron is tiny.

But then the scale chart showed their planet forms are supposed to be roughly the same size...
Unicron apparently shrinks considerably when he turns into robot mode.
