It was every '90s kid's best friend: TV!
I didn’t get them too much on TV. We do now but I am not a fan of these animations
Yeah, me being a kindergartner with low standards and access to Sky One when it used to have reruns of the G1 show definately helped nourish my obssesson with the franchise.
19 inch TV
My parents I guess. I was about 7 we'd just moved back to UK from Cyprus. My Dad started taking us to vhs rental store each week and me and my sister got to choose two videos each. they had stuff like gobots mask centurions and of course transformers. a while later my mum bought a box of transformers off of a friend who's kid no longer wanted his so I got wheeljack Jazz Megatron two of the stunticons and a load of others my mum saved some of the larger ones galvatron metroplex and ultra magnus for xmas gifts for a few weeks later and my orginal collection grew from there adding in figures like Chromedome Triggerhappy PM optimus prime and so on plus a few gobots and other third party transformers.
sadly almost none of them survived my childhood so they all wound with broken limbs or sold of in jumble sales and the like.
My Aunt, she got me a toy as a Christmas present. It was very kind of her, and set me on a path which I continue to follow even now, 30+ years later.
Arrmen. We never had cable, but there was a temporary leak in the signal feed. Until it was discovered, we inadvertently bummed off major networks. I caught clips of Beast Wars as a pre-schooler and was instantly hooked.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't get to enjoy Transformers until the early to mid 2000s. Parents had a policy against violent toys... until they realized I was going to build guns and lightsabers out of Legos and sticks anyway.
