Alright, who in your life introduced you to the Transformers? Was it funny? Is it a moment that you will never forget?

It was new. I saw the first wave of G1 on store shelves and thought it looked neat, so eventually I wound up getting some for Christmas. Somewhere in there, a show came on TV about the toy robots I liked, and that was that.

Dad, he watched the show back in 89-90 in a German chanel. He then got me to a video club and we rented the More than meets they eye. That was it.

The tv I guess. It was as good a cartoon as any other, especially at the time.

Michael Bay, as I was introduced to this franchise when ads for the first live action movie came on TV. The idea blew 6 year old me's mind.

    Please don't kill me.

I remember going to my friend's house one time when I was like, 4. I pointed at a yellow toy car he had and said "That looks cool."

"It's not just a car," my friend said as he picked it up. He changed it into robot, and I was fascinated.

From then on, I was hooked.

Same. TV ads and Marvel. Then the cartoon. For people of our generation, no one introduced us to Transformers, because it didn't exist before we discovered it.

I got a lot of hand me downs as a kid, including a lot of Lego, Hot Wheels, and of course some Transformers. They were random G1 figures that used to belong to my oldest brother; namely Brainstorm, Blot, Drag Strip, Onslaught, Grotusque, and Slugslinger among others. Random as they are, I'm on the nichest and nerdiest of quests to get new versions of all of them. As a result, Titans Return has been a godsend for me

I normally have a good memory for dates and years but I can never remember if I first saw it on tv or one of my classmates showing me a reprint of the first comics.

Actually I think I saw the cartoon first in 85 then the following summer in 86, that classmate brought in the comics. I remember because he lent me them and I was out of school sick.

My brother got Beachcomber in Dec 85 and we'd seen the cartoon in summer 85. Also in Dec 85, my best friend was at his uncle's factory Christmas party and got an unofficial, black Perceptor that we know today as Magnificus.

That was a convoluted unravelling of old memories. Actually typing this out has been helpful. I Hadn't been sure which was my first exposure to the Transformers but this has sorted out the old memory banks.

Saw Beast Wars on television as a kid and I enjoyed it. Helped that it was right before Dragon Ball Z.

My parents I guess. I was two when the show started. My mom says she took me to the movie in 86. I remember watching Season 3 in a syndicated block with SuperTed. Had a few FHE tapes.
