I'd love to see one in TF2. It won't happen for a number of reasons, of course including the fact that this car is already the famous star of its own well-known movies. Still, maybe we could beg & plead Hasbro to make a toy of one as an off-screen character a'la Arcee and Dropkick. Or even better, in Classics style.

    I can dream can't I?

I'll take one, but only if it can travel through time.

I would assume, similar to the old "Herbie" VW argument, the Back to the Future movie exposure is the reason a DeLorean-bot would not be in a TF movie. (that, and their moment passed about a billion years ago. :)  )

Hmmm....it would be cool to see. Personally, I'd like to see an Alternator Gremlin, but, that's just me.

I'd like the ecto-1 (the herse from ghostbusters) but it would certainly have alot of extraneous kibble in robot mode.

As for the Delorian. Maybe a line of alternators classic cars could use it.

It'd be cool to have one, but if we got one it'd probably only be as an offscreen character. Doubt that they'd do one in the actual movie itself. Not to mention the DeLorean is kind of dated.

I brought it back Marty, back from the future! See in the 2007 earth is invaded by sentient robot beings called transformers. One of them scanned the DeLorian and I got in the wrong one. Now we have to stop some nutty Doctor name Archievil. He took the original DeLorian and is trying to change history. Oh yeah Marty before I forget he's teamed up with Biff too. How does Biff keep getting involved in all this is he some kind of cosmic point or something....no mater Marty we must go Back and stop them Back to the future!

Well, they are doing a limited release soon of "new" DeLoreans, so perfect promo opportunity.

And Team Jetfire, your remark made me think of this for the Tech Specs:

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Affiliation: Autobot
    Name: Scott
    Role: Scientist

Bio: Known for his odd antics, he was largely ignored after developing a new split surge regulator that he thought would revolutionize Warp technology, but was considered to be uneconomical. After integrating a similar design into his Energon flow system, he has seemed to age considerably faster. Most of his colleagues think this is due to adverse affects of being hit by lightning too often...

Notes: Having a very large ego, he considers himself to be a better scientist than even Preceptor, hence his nickname "Great" Scott. He also has a deep, some say obsessive, fascination with Fusion energy.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, just from a two word comment, I thought of all this. Am I crazy, creative, or a true child of the 80's... I really don't know.

Speaking of deloreans and Ecto 1s, there should be a TF line of famous movie/TV cars.

    Alt-sized would be nice :p

bring starsky and hutch, General Lee, the A team van, KITT, and all that goodness! :D

Too bad they already did Beast Wars Ravage as an Alternator. He could have been a time-traveling Delorean. :)

I would love a Delorean-bot. As well as any other "cult" or classic cars from the past, really. I always wanted to see a version of Kup as an old blue 1940's pickup truck, and Hot Rod as, well, a hot rod.

You all do know that there has already been an official DeLorean TF made right. G1 even. His name was Swindler and he was a part of the Micromaster Race Car Patrol.

Yeah, I know, not as cool as an Alt, but it was made.
