    I missed out on getting the first print of #1...and Ebay prices are ridiculous. :( 

    I'm really surprised no one here reads DMZ. People aren't familiar with the story?

    America is in the middle of its second civil war. The warring parties are the U.S.A. and the Free States. Manhattan has become the demilitarized zone (DMZ). Matty Roth is a photo journalist (intern) who has become trapped and alone in the DMZ and begins to report on the ground situation and the lives of the remaining people living in the DMZ.

    Not much has been revealed about the cause of the war other than the Free States ideals do not involve pre-emptive war policies. Helena, MT was the site of the Free States uprising and moved (rapidly) East.

    Great stuff.
