Man I love my new Mac Book. Just got it today from the MacStore in SoHo. I got the $1099 one. Was going to get the extra 40gbs and the DVDRW but decided not to since I have a 60gb external and never burn DVDs. This thing is great.

I might still buy Leader Prime, but meh, we'll see. I gotta pay bills and well, you know how that goes.

    HOLLA!!

Depending on the repairs on my laptop go, I may get a regular MacBook, but with a RAM and DVD rewriteable drive upgrades.

I know the MacBook Pro series can do it, but can you dual boot (using Boot Camp or similar) a regular MacBook? I was going to install and use my corporate issued copy of Windows XP Professional on one partition for the Windows stuff (Office) that I can't afford to lose.

I have a 17" laptop now I'm using (Dad's... grrrr....) and as much as I love the screen I'd like a smaller more portable system.

Rolling on a 17" MacBook Pro here. My girlfriend's got the last-gen black MacBook. Honestly if you don't need the additional real estate, the MacBook is a much nicer machine IMO.

My MacBook is the smaller 13" 1.83 GHz model. 60 GB Hard drive fills up fast is my only knock. :(

Buying a 15" MacBook Pro next month and putting 4 GB of RAM in it. It's gonna rock.

I just want a smaller MacBook with more RAM and a larger hard drive.

And I'd also like it to dual boot with my XP Pro... :-(

I have one. real nice machine it is a 2.16 and has XP and Vista loaded on it. But I use VMwave instead of bootcamp. Since I do not want to reboot all the time. But VMwave will also run your bootcamp partion as well.

Yes, you can dual boot with all intel macs, and this includes the Macbook, just make sure you get one with big HD. My iBook died (500 mHz G3, dropped one too many times), and my wife only have the 15" G4 Powerbook, so we'd like a MacBook, with the built-in iSight and all :cry  But I have an iPhone, so all is right with the world for a while :D
