After Star Wars hat the $150 Millenium Falcon and $100 something else big walker, I can easily see that they put out a $100 gift set. I'll be getting it if it is good. If it looks like Bay's version of cow patties I'll pass.

I heard that the combining devs is supposed to be a supreme classed figure. Aernt they like, $50 or $60 at best? Unless they changed something to make him THAT much bigger to warrant him to be $100. I'm a slave to my plastic crack addition, so ill get it irregaurdless. However, we don't know for sure that this price point is even for devs yet, as someon already stated, it may be a prime jetfire combiner set, and I could see that being up near $100 maybe.....

Has the post where the price of the two listed DPCIs is revealed. There is no more information to say what each of those combiners are, however, so the $100 one could be a Supreme Jetfire and Leader Optimus or vice versa. We'll see closer to release I imagine.

As for who can afford it... well, if they stop putting out stuff a month or two before, it will be easier for those individuals with a source of income to save up for the figures and afford it. Whether or not the $100 Combiner turns into another AT-whatever it was or Millennium Falcon, is left to be seen though.

My advice to the OP? Get a job, somehow! Even a paper route, in four-ish months time will definitely get you the cash to get the $100 set, whatever it ends up being.

Heh, I'm trying to save. But even if I could get $200, There's probably no way I'd blow 100 bucks on one thing. Leaders are bad enough.

Unless there's a major sale or something, no gift-set for me.

There are more things to worry about then saving $100 to buy a toy. Paying bills, eating, taking your girlfriend out. If it is that important to you, get a job and start saving. That's my advice.

And yes, as many others have reitirated, there is a 99.99 pricepoint for a combiner giftset. No argument there. We HOPE it is a devvy, but it could be a really big Arcee ;)

Where have you been the last 5 yrs ??? 20th prime was $80/90 buxs retail 5 years ago then re-issued as DVD prime a couple years back at the same price and Utl. bb for $80 .... just last summer Star Wars had a Walker at $100 and A Mel. Falcon at $150. A $100 bux combiner is def. a possiblity.

Every two weeks I get payed thirty aussie dollars for doing chours around the house (Washing Dishes twice a day, Vacumming twice a week, ect.), so when the toys come out I'll be having a ROTF shopping spree!

Not interested myself because the movie toys just aren't my cup of tea.

But to add something positive into the mix I'm willing to bet that Devastator will be released in several sizes so that the people who couldn't afford a $100 set will still have some shot at a movie style Devastator toy.

I can afford it - question is, will I want it? It seems lately the bigger the pricepoint, the more it sucks.

I wish I could do that my parent don't believe in being paid for work you do around the house.

the australian prices are generally 30-50% higher than those in the states(damn import taxes) so this giftset will be at least 130 here. i make 200-400 a week working casually, but over 100 per week is put towards travel next year(going to new york for 6 months as part of uni) then there's fuel costs, general cost of living, university costs.... nope, i'm not buying this set. not yet anyway. hell, anything above a deluxe right now is out of my budget.
