I am back again to post about something i realized while reading the Tripredacus Council, i wanted to see if others felt the same bout characters who were underused and didnt really do as much. So..i want to see your opinions.

 

I wish there had been more Onslaught love. Always thought he was pretty cool but it seems that virtually every other Combaticon stole center stage from him.

 

I have to second Onslaught as being underused.

I also think Astrotrain and Dirge have been underused in both media and comics. Astrotrain is just awesome, and the idea of a Decepticon jet who gives his colleagues the creeps is pretty cool. More of both, please.

 

I'm going to third Onslaught - he could easily be reinvented as an evil Hannibal Smith, commander of a mercenary group that the heroes have to deal with.

Dirge is also another one who could be reinvented. In my opinion, he needs to be broken away from the Seeker mold and reinvented as his own character. Him being stuck as a conehead limits his potential character design.

We should see more of them outside of Beast Wars stuff.

I'd also like to add Reflector: the original combiner. I think he should be reimagined as a satellite or space probe that transforms into three robots to fight or perform certain tasks. Imagine a more deadly, Cybertronian version of the Imperial Droids from Empire Strikes Back.

 

All of them except Megatron, Starscream, swundle, blitzwing and maybe a few others.
There are a ton of TF villains that desperatly need more attention.
To name a few: Mindwipe, Spinister, Barrage, Thunderwing, Skullgrin...

Yeah, but I mean in more recent fiction. He has not been used in recent years much at all.

Since they're excellent portrayals in the Marvel comics, Scorponok and Thunderwing have not been given any proper stories.

Idw turned Thunderwing into a mindless monster in the equally soulless Stormbringer forgetting all about the 2 things that made him great in Marvel, his concern for his troops and his Matrix Affinity, and Scorponok was reduced to mad scientist.

Nemesis Prime has never gotten much love in any incarnation.

Shockwave was criminally underused and reinterpreted in Dark of the Moon.

 

Mindwipe Skullcruncher Weirdwolf Apeface Snapdragon could give the DJD a run for their money but have been criminally underused

Dreadwind and Darkwing
Doubledealer has always been used as a one trick pony, get creative with this character, make him a spymaster of sorts.

 

I would have to say Shockwave. Always seems like he's stuck sitting somewhere while barely being shown in every continuity I've seen him in. Hadn't read much of the IDW comics to know if he's like that there as well though.

For being 2 of the most prominent seekers, they don't get much love in the toons. I'd like to see them make a return to tv.

I completely forgot about them. You're right, we do need more of them.

 

A lot of great names already brought up in here. I'd like to see more of Straxus, Thunderwing, Flame, any of the members of IDW's Squadron X, The Quintessons, G1 Scorponok and Zarak, Sunstorm, The Fallen, Clench and Skyquake (G2).

 

He's got a fairly good arc in IDW i think. he's a bit different than usual being an IDW incarnation of the character, but i think they did him justice.
Still bit of a bummer he's dead but he got a good arc, i don't want them to bring him back now.
I think you wanna read Spotlight Shockwave and Maximum Dinobots  

 

As villains, Yes. I don't want them to be some Primus related group like they seemed in the 3H comics.
Preferably i'd want them to be some kind of very powerfull group who plays God with other races, kind of like the Quintessons in the Sunbow cartoon and the humans in Beast Wars Uprising.
