Ever seen a trilogy better than the Transformers.
For me it was The Dark Knight Trilogy. What do you think?

    Man I'm getting old!

I was gonna say Terminator and Star Wars but those aren't trilogies any more!

Lord of the Rings is my choice then.

I'm giving Bay the benefit of the doubt and putting TF about even with Matrix and Underworld. I guess I'm in a good mood today.

But yeah Godfather is way better.

There isn't just one, as you can tell from up top, there are SEVERAL trilogies that are way better than the Transformers.

Off the top of my head??

Star Wars, Episodes IV - VI
The Godfather (even including the stinker that's Godfather III, it buries the TF movies)
    Lord of the Rings
    Christopher Nolan's Batman Trilogy
Pirates of the Carribean I - III

I will put forth a (weak) argument that the Transformers movies do NOT constitute a true trilogy.

From my understanding, a trilogy is three movies that are unified by a single overarching storyline, often centering on the main character's journey. I don't really see Transformers fitting this mold. I think they're more akin to serials, much like the Indiana Jones "trilogy" (the fourth movie does not exist in this dojo).

    Ebay:
-Star Wars (both the OT and PT)
    -Lord of the Rings
-Indiana Jones (even though it's no longer a trilogy)
    -Back to the Future
    -Nolan's Batman films
-Pirates of the Caribbean (even though it's no longer a trilogy)
-Iron Man will be when Iron Man 3 comes out
-Harry Potter, even though it's far from a trilogy
-The Hunger Games will be when it's done
-Firefly/Serenity should've been if they made 3 movies like the fans wanted

And probably countless more that I've never seen, can't think of at the moment, or haven't even heard of.

You've clearly never seen any of, nor heard of, the Coleman Francis trilogy of movies. To claim any one of those three movies; Red Zone Cuba, the Skydivers, or The Beast of Yucca Flats, is better than even ROTF is idiocy.

Then what is the point of this thread?

Ha ha, well if we can throw in movies that haven't came out yet then I'll say The Hobbit even though all we have is a trailer and Peter Jackson's word that us Tolkien geeks will love it.

I think the shorter-to-answer question is, "What trilogies are NOT better than Trans(Bay)formers?"
