G1 all the way. And if I may add, G1 should not be paired with G2.

 

I voted for G1, but really my favourite designs are from Bayformers, as that was my entrance to the TF Universe. I absolutely adore G1 to pieces because it simply screams GIANT 80'S ROBOTS FROM OUTER-SPACE to me, but in practical terms if a car turns into a robot then you're going to see all of the junk that entails. My only gripe is that thanks to the films being so damn dark all the time, it is hard to tell the characters apart until they speak. (That's before Bay grabs the camera and starts shaking it like it's a Magic 8 ball and he wants to know who to invite to the Shaky-Cam Convention.)

I also like the TFA designs from the toyline, but as I haven't seen the actual show I shouldn't comment on them too much.  

 

Hard, very hard to choose, but overall, I'd pick Cybertron/Galaxy Force. The molds to this day still make good Botcon exclusives.  

 

I've liked all of IDW's designs by EJ Su, Don Figueroa, Nick Roche and Guido Guidi, as well as much of the Movieverse. Overall I like my Transformers more realistic and complex (if not always alien) so it's a toss-up between that iteration of G1 and Movieverse.

 

Voted G1/G2 as those designs (cartoon and comic) were the ones I loved as a kid and are only being realised now in Classics.

 

WFC and Classics. But as they are not listed, I voted G1.

 

I don't have a problem with lumping G2 in with G1. The design aesthetic is the same, the only difference is the neon colours.

To be honest I have more of a problem with the whole G1 term itself, lumping late G1 in with early G1.

 

A tough call since every era hasn't had art work brought up to current standards so it can be a bit unfair at times to compare.

I think I'll have to go with G1 though. Just so much easier to tell who was who and they all looked like the same species with a few animals thrown in for good measure. Plus they just had so many characters you felt spoiled on the number of choices which one you liked the best.

 

Movie-verse. After that, it's G1.

Im REALLY liking TF: Prime. Everything is so clean yet actiony. But then again, Jose Lopez IS rumored to be a god.

I actually went for RID. I really like the designs from that series.
