Okay guys, this is going to sound incredibly nerdy, but hang in there with me for a second...

Which figure/figures do you think lead the various factions of your collection? My collection isn't very large and is a real mix of generations so I only have the two factions - Autobots and Decepticons.

For me, Masterpiece Prime is in charge of my Autobots with G1 Ultra Magnus and Animated Ratchet serving as his lieutenants. Animated Megatron heads up the Decepticons and has Deep Space Starscream, Universe Onslaught and G1 Sixshot to serve as his inner circle.

I'd be interested to hear what figures other people have in mind for the bosses of their collection. I'm also equally interested in hearing any creative insults as to the level of nerdulence I have displayed by asking this question. Go on, hit me with your best shot. :p

Since I move around an aweful lot these days, I only really ever have my Classics and Animated with me so, there's not much to it heft-wise. That said, Classics Voyager Prime and Megs head up the Autobots and Decepticons, respectively. - For Animated, it's the two-pack deluxe Prime and Megs heading up their respective factions. Though, after Protector comes out and I wrangle a City Commander from somewhere, it might bethe '86 movie cast leading the pack.

Animated Leader Megatron leads my Animated Decepticons.

Shadow Commander (whom I call Scourge) leads my Classics/Universe Decepticons.

G1 Scorponok leads my G1 Decepticons. He has three sub-commanders: G1 Thunderwing, leading the Pretenders, G1 Skystalker, leading the Micromasters, and G1 Sixshot as a general assistant.

The few Movie-verse Decepticons I have are leaderless.

G1 Omega Supreme and G1 Trypticon.
They aren't actually in charge, Classics Optimus and Megatron make all the command decisions. ;)  But the big bots call attention to themselves.

I just set them up in lines. Classics Optimus Prime leads my Classics Autobots. MP Prime leads my MPs and Alternators. And so on and so forth.

I think mixing movie style toys with animated toys with G1-homage toys looks like shit.

Well naturally my MP04 leads the Autobots.
As far as the Decepticons, Starscream wishes he could, but it's MP05 Megatron.
And if Primes not around, MP Grimlock "The King" rules!

I never thought of who leads my whole collection. Although i would say it would be my G1 reissue 25th optimus prime.

But if one were to get technical....

(classics, universe, henkei, generations decepticons) my customized universe galvatron leads them until i get a generations cybertronian megatron to step up.galvy can lead the season 3 decepticons.

(Classics, universe, henkei, generations autobots) cybertronian optimus prime (generations)
leads the autobots with pcc chopster as his energy axe.(chopster switced to autobot cuz smolder is better with guns anyway)

(Animated autobots) hot rod "rodimus minor"
(animated decepticons) shockwave (grey verson until i get the proper colored purple shockwave)

movie autobots~rotf optimus prime combined with jetfire aka "power up prime"
    movie decepticons~rotf voyager megatron

my custom tf autobots~scout G1 warpath made from cybertron scattershot
my custom tf decepticons~scout G1 hunn~grr made from cybertron undermine

And hasbro's universe G1 series masterpeice skywarp leads everything else that my 25th prime doesnt (like decepticons)

I'm sad to admit that I have a shelf dedicated to G2 Dreadwing and Smokescreen and their numerous repaints. I have all of them.

Cybertron Optimus Prime leads my Autobots.

But Energon Sharkticon is the leader of my Decepticons. :D  OR Animated leader Megatron when Sharkticon and his body-doubles aren't around.

ROTF Optimus Prime leads the Autobots from a political stand point.
Animated Sentinel Prime is the Field Commander

The Decepticons are led by a military council.
Animated Shadow Blade Megatron is the President of the council and the other members are Animated True Colors Shockwave and ROTF Bludgeon.
The Decepticon Armies are made up of Subgroups led by their respected leaders:
    Seekers: Starscream
    Combaticons: Onslaught
Stunticons: Eventually Generations Scourge, but for now Mudslinger
    Insecticons: Wapinator
    Communications: Soundwave

    - Movie Decepticons: ROTF Voyager Megatron (F the Fallen, he sucks as a figure, therefore he gets no respect :p )
    - Movie Autobots: ROTF Leader Prime
    - Animated Autobots: Deluxe Cybertron Prime
    - Animated Decepticons: Leader Megatron
    - Classics Autobots: WFC Prime (but MP Grimlock thinks otherwise, what with the crown on his head...)
    - Classics Decepticons: WFC Megatron

I have various factions in my collection:

For my modern-day G1 Autobots that include a mix of Binaltech, Classics, Henkei, Movie, 3rd-party accessories, Device Label Blaster, and my custom Trailbreaker to form the 1984 and 1985 Autobots -- Henkei Convoy in his Powered Convoy Armor from Fansprojects "leads" them. His lieutenants are Binaltech Jazz, Henkei Prowl, and Custom Trailbreaker.

For my modern-day G1 (1984 - 1985) Decepticons, they're fractured like they tended to be in the Marvel Comics. For the main force, Henkei Megatron is the leader with Music Label White Soundwave as the loyal lieutenant. For the splintered group of Decepticons, Classics Starscream and Binaltech Shockblast are co-commanders with SDCC Nemesis Prime fully armored up is the lieutenant.

I also have a 1986 core cast from the G1 toon of just the main characters. As in the TV show, the leaders are Classics Rodimus and Classics Galvatron.

For the miscellaneous Transformers of random Autobots, Decepticons, and Gobots, G1 Trailbreaker is the leader with the Star Wars TF Millenium Falcon as the lieutenants.

Classics Optimus and Henkei Megs for my G1 (an G1 updated) army.

Most of the other Optimus and Megatron toys lead their respective splinter factions (I.E: Toy lines) but I've given them different names.

Basically everything is in the G1 universe. If it has a recycled name and it's not a direct update, I rename it.

Alts, Mastepiece, and the few Animated toys I haven't thrown in a box in the closet aren't included.

Don't anyone worry about feeling like an uber-nerd, I'm right there with ya ;)
