DERP, forgot to add the poll...discuss anyway LOL

    Choices:

    G2
    Machine Wars
    Beast machines
    RiD
    Armada
    Energon
    Cybertron
    Alternators/ Binaltech/ Alternity
    Other

Exacty what the topic says: Out of the listed Toylines, which one do you feel doesn't get enough love?

I didn't include G1 (and reissues), Classics (and all the lines under its umbrella), Beast Wars, Animated and Movie toys in the poll since there are constantly discussions about them. HOWEVER if you strongly feel one of those should be your vote, just choose 'Other' and say which one in your post :)

Also, forgive me if I've omitted a toyline!

It was a hard call for me but I had to go with Cybertron. Since its part of the *gasp* TRILOGY it's often dismissed but I honestly think that it's been the best mainline as a whole we've gotten. Sure there are a few duds thrown in but as a whole I just really dig the aestetics, the overall engineering and the diversity Cybertron had to offer.

    So now, what about you?

Binaltechs. It is the only series of Transformers to give each toy a Chogokin type treatment. To this day it is the only series of Transformers that i will never sell.

Should have made this a poll.

In any event, I'll say alternators even though I don't collect them. I personally like Energon's toys and their ratcheting clicki-ness the best of the choices, but Alternators were a freaking marvel in terms of engineering IMO, model quality sports cars, etc that transform into fairly g1 accurate robots, cutting edge at the time.

Beast Wars: Most of the figures have great articulation, are well sculpted and have unique, simple and creative transformations, yet a lot of people really hate the line.

PCC: People seem to hate this line just because of the drones. Most of the molds are great though. Even the drones can be pretty fun.

Cybertron. Pretty good toys in it. We got our Primus from that series.

Alternators. Not so much that it is underrated but for the fact that it seems all but forgotten.

Energon and Cybertron had some fantastic toys. But I would have to go with beastwars, it resembled G1 in the aspect of how the toys were released as in a new gimmick didnt constitute a release of a new TF toyline, plus the toys were just badass and one of the main reasons that the TF line kept going, and for a lot of fans, beastwars are their G1.

Energon. The bots mostly sucked but for a long time they were the best 'con molds out there. The bots did have some winners like Landquake, Omega Sentinel, and even the deluxe OP and Rodimus.

AEC. Fun molds, gimmicks, playability. I scaled my collection of them down but have a lot of cybertronians that work well with classics

    This.

I thought the Alternators figures were neat, and really wished they would have come out with more of them before they were canceled.

I personally would say the PowerCore Combiners, myself. I think what hurt the line most was how the first few bots in the line, especially reports of QC issues, were not all that great and how people kept on complaining about how they weren't true "combiners" because the drones didn't transform.

Frankly, I don't think people really gave it a chance. Yes, the whole purpose of those gaudy AllSpark blue points for the drones fell sort of flat, and very few of the figures actually look good with said points, but looking past them I find the scout figures themselves are great. The Mini-cons are hit-or-miss *mentally glares at Backwind, who is set up into some abstract form of a long machine rifle*, but I find the larger figures pretty neat. The Alt. mode choice is also unique, since the last time we got a snow-based alt. mode was Energon Snow Cat, and Smolder continues the tradition of evil emergency vehicles.

I think we as collectors have been spoiled with the high standards we want for the Classics lines, plus the fact people still want Hasbro to make classics combiners the "right" way, so when the clearly different PCC figures came out I'm sure not a lot of people were thrilled that THIS was what Hasbro gave out as "combiners". However, I find the PCC's go back to the actual "toy" aspect from which Transformers are meant to be in the first place, and in that respect they succeed in my eyes. Oh, and I always get a kick out of taking Armada Longarm (Red Alert's mini-con) and sticking him on Mudslinger's tow truck drone, for overkill crane action!:lol

Energon. People get all uppity about it because of the low-poseability 'bots, but that aspect never bothered me in the least. The toys were fun as hell. And the toys not saddled with the Powerlinx gimmick were all pretty great.

Energon Starscream is a bit overrated, though. He steals his basic engineering from G2 Smokescreen, but introduces a number of awkward bits that just really irk me.
