I'm not sure if this is allowed in the Games and Anime Section, but it didn't feel right posting it in the General Discussion Thread Section. Basically, which shows or line up did you watch on Toonami? I'm feeling nostalgic this early morning.

The one I remember seeing when I first got the channel was Sailor Moon, Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo, Outlaw Star (I think) and an hour of DBZ. That was love.

2000 and 2001 were my favorite lineups. Tenchi is my favorite series and Outlaw Star's a close second and both years there were a lot of solid shows around them, especially Big O.

2003 was good, too, Kenshin and Hakusho are both outstanding series... it was 2004 where they lost me, Duel Masters? A fan dub would have been more professional and the concept of action shows on Toonami got thrown out with this very lame Yu Gi Oh knockoff that was more concerned with lame jokes and unnecessary dialog than making it watchable. I also think North American-produced shows have no business in Toonami unless they're exceptional like Reboot or Batman Beyond... not Jackie Chan. It was in it's prime when it was 3 hours on weekdays with japanese-style commercials, one big one in the middle and the end, only one interruption in the show. That's a big thing that made Toonami feel different from just normal TV watching, they never should have dropped that.

Oh yeah, the new kiddy graphics? Just stop. Bring back the Absolution, the montage videos, the commercial schedule, and the good anime. Then, we'll talk.

I watched various shows up until approximately 2003. I'm fairly certain the last show I have watched on the block was Kenshin. After the pure love that is Adult Swim was invented, I never went back.

Only shows that I would watch on a regular basis that are from the list included, Megas XLR, Justice League, JLU, and Clone Wars. Sometimes I'd watch Teen Titans on occasion, but outside of that I didn't watch much of anything else. Don't remember ever watching Batman or Superman on CN. I did watch it when it was WB.

There is a big difference between what I watched, and what I wanted to watch. Their scheduling always left unable to see what I really wanted to. First and foremost, any anime I didn't watch. I watched Tenchi on DVD originally, and then I saw it on CN, and it was so hacked up that I figured if any of these shows interested me I would just watch the DVD. I did like Megas XLR, but hardly had a chance to watch it. I did end up getting to see a lot of Armad and Energon but never Cybertron.

Actually, the only thing I ever really made sure I was there to watch on CN was Venture Bros.

Ronin Warriors man, that's what it was all about for me. I remember just barely making it home in time for Ronin Warriors, then after that I found something else to waqtch while Sailor Moon was playing, then Iwatched DBZ and Gundam Wing, and was happy.

    Oh, how things have changed.

I never really watched Toonami, but I did watch the re-airs later at night in Adult Swim that had less editing to them. The Original Adult Swim was great.

Wow -from 1997 through the first part of 2003 Toonami was so awesome!

I remember that in addition to their regular shows they would have cool surprises like the Max Fleischer Superman cartoons, or Beast Wars: Code of Hero!

I was so stoked that anime was on American television. Some shows were aired at a kid friendly time when maybe they shouldn't have been: Blue Submarine No.6 and the Big O come to mind.

Then something went wrong. Justice League was on for two weeks gone for three -on for three weeks gone for three weeks. Their most hyped show was that Bobobo crap. Megas XLR was gone forever.
I even see some shows listed on there that I would argue were not a part of their schedule. The Batman -how long was that on in 2005? A month? Six weeks? Even their original show IGPX was shown at an obscure time slot and the second season was halway done before I accidentally discovered they were running new episodes. I never saw a single commercial for the second season and I never saw the second season rerun -ever! Yet Cartoon Network will rerun the same episode of Camp Lazlo sometimes three times in a single day.

I think the whole network is a waste these days with the exception of Ben 10 and Foster's (which they show way too much) and some of Adult Swim like Family Guy.

There are other good shows like Fantastic Four, but I challenge you to actually find an episode when its on.

I watched every line up since inception but I have skipped/written off various cartoons such as Sailor Moon, Superfriends, Hamtaro, all of Zoids. 98-2004 were my favorite line ups. Loved that Toonami picked up Ronin Warriors as I used to watch it all the time on my local WB, loved getting to see more DBZ as the WB never got past the who whole Goku ends up on Namek and makes a mockery of the likes of Racoom, Burter and Jace.

It was funny how CN announced that they were going to continue the Namek Saga it was like "You kept allowing yourself to believe that the story would continue only to have it repeat at the begining no longer all new episodes of DBZ are on the way" or something like that I was so psyched the story continued but the voices changed man did I miss the Saban voices.

On another note I think It's a real crime that there has never been a Ronin Wariors Video Game best I can do is make ronin warrior inspired alt on COH/COV and pretend that samurai guy in Power Stone is using the Armor of Inferno.

2002 was the only full lineup I watched. That was a tremendous set of shows. Yes, even Hamtaro. Boss FTW.

I can't say that I watched on particular lineup - but I did watch the following shows: Voltron, Beast Wars, Thundercats, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, Batman: TAS, Batman Beyond, and Robotech.

Shows like DBZ and all that I skipped, as I hate the taste of vomit.
