I've been out of the TF comics scene for 2 years already. I used to buy everything, then stopped getting cover variants, then stopped altogether in 2007.

I'm pondering catching up on lost time, but would like feedback from you guys as to which IDW TF series I should get. Single issues? Trade paperbacks? I stopped around the time that the first movie prequel came out.

I stopped with the individual issues early on in the IDW run, and have been doing trades since then. The stories seem to flow better in trade form.

I've gotten most of them to date, so I cannot really recommend one over the other. That being said... I've enjoyed most of the Spotlight trades, Stormbringer, and All Hail Megatron (Vol 1 & 2 so far).

I'm still waiting for stupid Amazon.ca to get Maximum Dinobots.

Gotta agree. The IDW trades do flow better. That being said start with Infiltration and work your way up :)

I found Escalation and Devastation to be GREAT reads.

Agreed. The stories definitely do flow better in TPB form, especially with how jumbled some of the continuity has become.

Don't know if you have a Waldenbooks or Borders nearby, that;s where I found my Dinobots TPB!--that is if you get really tired of waiting for Amazon.
