    ROTF’s teleportation ability
    DOTM’s planet-shipping device

I vote for ROTF. It seems to me a more appropriate revision of the term: a psychic ability to bridge two points in space, similar to hyperspace. And the pillars would have been a great device, if it wasn’t for the more awesome machinery (IMO) seen in THOR.

The one that actually acts as a bridge through space. (DOTM)

The DOTM one is more pratical in inter-stellar space, but on Earth, the ROTF would be ideal because you don't have to worry about pillars and especially the control pillar getting damaged.

Dark of the Moon's felt a lot more like an actual bridging of two distant spaces. Plus it was an awesome little bit of SFX.

DOTM! That whole plot line of trying to bring Cybertron into Earth's atmosphere was straight outta G1! From that standpoint alone...WINNER!

DOTM's because the blue lightning effect is amazing looking. I can't stand the stupid rainbow one from Prime. So silly looking

I personally like it better when it's a devise, not an inbuilt ability.

I think they both have their merits, and they're both different methods of space-bridging. Older Transformers like Jetfire having the physical ability to open personal spacebridges at will was so cool. And then as time went on, Transformers lost the ability to do so, so Sentinel basically harnessed that power in a tangible device.

But I'm going with DotM's, personally.

DOTM IMO. It was more plausible as a space bridge, but ROTF showed how it could be used on a smaller scale, so I guess they both were accurate for what they are.
