I say Robotech... as we're already getting Robotech: Shadow Wars later this year or early next.

You're well aware that some of those shows are still "current" right ? DBZ and Megaman don't need "updates", they're still popular.

The original Thundercats had some really cool stuff, it's just that the cartoon was campy as hell. I'd love to see a new version, if only for the sake of having some nice modern toys of those characters, which of course would be inevitable. I wouldn't say the original is anime though.

Of all those Thundercats seems the most likely candidate, especially with the DVD's of the classic series coming out right now it would be perfect.

Most of the others are still pretty mainstream in some form.

I thought I heard Voltron is also coming back. I think this is the 3rd time after that poor 3D show in the late 90's.

I would have said MASK or Centurians.. I went with Voltron. That or Thundercats.

Anyone else besides me feel that traditional animation and CGI really don't look that well together? I hate when the vehicles are like that and their doing it more and more in almost every cartoon now.

As you say that, I'm picturing a CGI Thundertank clawing out of the ground for some reason.

Anyway, I say Thundercats with the traditional animation. If they want to do a CGI show, I say Silverhawks.

I think Thundercats would be a good show to redo, but I get the feeling it would end up like the new MOTU series.

Nope, my favourite choices would be MASK and Centurions. Centurions was a great show, and I can't wait until someone releases the whole series on DVD (I don't think any proper versions are out there) and MASK would be easy to update.

My take on it would be Scott Trakker is all grown up, and the latest MASK field agent, cue lots of father/son drama mixed in with aging agents ('I'm too old for this shit') mixing with the newer breed. All amongst the topical subject of Venom's secret terrorist war against the world!

I only hope they use real world cars in the new MASK. And mix it up too. Hot Rods, Import racers, Tractor Trailers....but I can see that show turning into something like the new MOTU show. One big half hour toy comercial.

If Hasbro did bring back MASK (and they own the line after they bought out Kenner) I'd have thought they'd use real cars. If I remember correctly a lot of the old line were based of real cars, Trakkers Thunderhawk was an 83 Pontiac Firebird, and Rhino was based off a proper rig, etc.

Robotech MMORGPOSDJGHR or whatever those Massive multiplayer online games are called. I would murder children to fly in an epic battle with other gamers.

Forget redoing american cartoons(Thundercats, Silverhawks wtf!?!?). It will just end up being a bunch sword twirling and kiddy fighting my vote went to the english dubbed version of Yoroiden Samurai Troopers man I loved that toon as a kid and so did my cousins. Seeing the ronins tear threw talpa's cannon fodder and tackle with warlords was just too sweet.

I recently got back into the series and it kicks as much ass as I remembered. Too bad it seems there was never a video game I know I have looked, but I did have fun trying to recreate Ryo on COH Fire/Fire Tanker.

The original series was clearly inspired by the shinto and other east asain religons(Kaos/The Ancient One warrior monk look with the coolie and the staff kicked ass) perhaps if they remade it they could give the show a western slant so the remake is less derivitive. Perhaps put Micheal in Kaos's place or maybe have the advisor/guardian role rotate between figures of clout, Micheal here, Uriel there, w/ Gabriel thrown in when the other two aren't.

Eastern/Western whatever I want a kickass video game to accompany it, a proper 3d TMNT style beat em up or a Power Stone style fighter. Of course "Sure Kills" must be left intact "Armor of wildfire, Flare up NOW!" *Kaboom*

None, really. Or rather. Many of those HAVE been getting new parts or continuations. So remakes or sequels are out of the question because they allready EXIST.

But I have to give the torch to Thundercats. It deserves a second chance and a tune-up. Lets just hope it would fare better than MOTU.
