I actually like Wheelie. Sure he's a bit fugly and he's WAY out of scale compared to everyone else. But I like his transformation and he's not a bad little 'Former.

If I had to say one to avoid it'd be Sideways. I know a lot of people like him but I just can't get him to stand up straight. I've tried everything to get him to be stable but he always ends up falling on his back eventually.

The alt mode, however, is very nice. It's just too bad his robot mode is a little wonky.

i find this works wonders, it allows the legs to be straight and allows for many poses, it balances very well and i feel looks better than the offical position for the panels. also if you ensure that you lift up the two little triangle hood sections (that the instructions omit) then you can clip the backpack into its intended position and it makes his centre of gravity a little more pose friendly.

Use the panel on his feet to help him stand better. I use it and he will stay up right for as long as want. Wheelie tends to give me more problems, so I just keep him in vehicle mode most of the time. Someone mentioned Demolisher, but he's another onei don't have problem with. Just put the wheel a little forward, and the half scooper on each side keeps him very well balanced.

Me personally am avoiding any of the little kid one's, like the fast action battler's etc. and the Scout figures are kinda dumb too beside's the toaster and scalpel. I mainly just collect the deluxe's and rare variant's.

Wow. There's a lot of Wheelie hate going on! How can you deny this cute little guy?

Here's my list of don't buys:
Mixmaster-Love the alt mode, but bot mode is not good.
Sideswipe-Still not happy with his feet.
    Ironhide-Why is he grey?
    Ratchet-Love the mold, but it's a half-hearted repaint.
    Voyager Prime-See above.
Breakaway-The head ruins it. I shouldn't have to mod a toy to make it presentable.
HA Bumblebee-Yep, I'm in the extreme minority here. The figure is not good enough to justify the $30-$35 price tag.
Scalpel-Quirky, but not worth the scout price. I honestly don't think that a ROTF collection would be complete without him, though.

On the flip side, these are the ones I absolutely love!
Wheelie-His tranformation is genius and a lot of fun to fiddle with.
Leader Prime-Read the 1,000 threads created for him and you'll see why.
Voyager Megs-He just looks awesome in all ways.
FAB Long Haul-The best ROTF impulse purchase I've made! Seriously.
Ransack-Everybody loves him. There's got to be a reason for it.
Scout Dead End-Creepy little bio and a ton of personality in this guy!
Rampage-One of the most interesting Transformers ever.

Of course this is all just my opinion, but I hope you find it helpful!

if it's fun transformations you are looking for, avoid Ravage and Soundwave. i think they look really cool but they really just sit around. not much going on in the way of Transforming.

Wheelie- any bot that calls Megan Fox a bitch isn't worth my money. (but any bot that makes Starscream his bitch, is. fuzzy logic wins.)

I personally have avoided The Fallen. he just looks like a bloated mess to me. Add to it, he was a punk in the movie.

if they didn't fix the automorph, avoid Grindor.
Stratosphere i got because i like planes. bot mode and his transformation are so-so.

The scout class has had some, if not THE BEST molds of the RotF line, so get them.

Taking a cue from above, I'm also making a Dos' and do nots list.

    Do-

Bike Sisters- I like their aesthetics, they look really cool together, really unique
Jolt- He looks like crap at first, but he's a true action figure in hand
Skids- Fantastically complex transformation for a deluxe, just, works as a toy
Mixmaster- Complex, yet satisfying and simple transformation, looks truly Alien
FAB Long Haul- Really big, addicting gimmick.
Breakaway- Brown version looks really good, proportionate.
Voyager Megs- Lots of playability with this guy, fun gimmicks
Ransack/Scalpel- Read the various "Scouts are Awesome Threads!"

    Don't-

Leader Prime- This is my biggest regret, he's just stupidly un fun to play with and transform. Definitely nice to look at and totally successful for an Optimus Prime in look and color, but he just doesn't do it for me.

Sideswipe- Looks cool, but the standing issues are really annoying

Sideways- Great looking, but the parts on this guy aren't very solid.

Answers are all over the place. I say avoid scout class only because I can't spend 9 bucks on a scout. After that, avoid any figures that are remolds or repaints of the first movie. Ironhide, Rathchet, voyager Prime, Bumblebee.

Get Leader Prime. Better than the first movie Prime.

The only one I have so far that I wouldn't recommend to anyone is Blazemaster. Awful bot mode. Demolishor is pretty 'meh' as well but there's some things about the totally unorthodox robot mode and the tire transformation that I think are pretty cool. Wheelie is alright, but I really only like it for the engineering. It's cool that a robot that big can cram down into a tiny RC car like that. I also don't agree with the hype on Leader Prime but I can't say it's a bad toy. It really is a nice representation of the on screen character.
