It honestly doesn't matter which version people use. as the protector armor/trailer covers up all the different color/paint apps variations in robot mode. like covering the flame chest sticker. covering the robot head. the wing isn't visible in robot mode. the fist are folded up so the newer fist can take over.

I'd imagine if I was going to buy a protector. I'd simply use the cheapest priced Classics 1.0 Rodimus.

 

Leaning towards Classics. But we'll see first hand how Protector looks on Classics and Henkei, then decide from there.

 

None. Though all I have is the 3 pack version. MP Rodimus is my choice.

 

Classics for Protector, 2 pack (whenever it comes out) for Hot Rod.

 

I only have the Henkei and Challenge at Cybertron versions. Since the colours are way out for the CaC one, I'll have to use Henkei with the chromed spoiler that comes with the Sidearm targetmaster. I'd love to get me a classics Hot Rod as well, but the price for him is getting even more stupid than it was.

And that was pretty stupid anyway.

Classics for the Protector armour and the Battle in Space two pack as Hot Rod (with the firebolt addon).

 

I only have the classics version. I'm not going to go out and buy a different one just for this. It's not that big of a deal to me. I would like the chrome though on the henkei version.

 

I don't plan on getting Protector, but I still want Shadow Scythe even if I have to overpay on Ebay. I only have Classics but I may buy the 2 pack if I get the Scythe somehow.

 

I will be using my classics as I fortunately have two of them. My problem is with the skinny thighs on Roddy! Thinking of upgrading these from another bot and then keeping this Roddy only to be in robot mode and the other one to be attached in vehicle mode.
