I wasn't planning on purchasing any of the Robot Replicas, but today while in Wal Mart I was looking at them and I am starting to like them. I got Megs and Prime from the first movie two years ago.

For those of you who own the ROTF Robot Replicas, which ones do you recommend, and why?

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the input.

I do have the Voyager Fallen, so I'll probably skip the RR one.

I did notice Ironhide as well, he looks well done.

    Megatron
    The Fallen
    Ironhide
    Bumblebee

I would skip The Fallen. Everyone that I've seen has had meh paint apps. So far, I've purchased four of them: Ratchet, Skids, Bumblebee, and Starscream. I really like Skids! Starscream would come in at a very close second, though. I'm probably going to wind up getting Jetfire and Ironhide as well.

I'm a huge fan of these and have all of them from both movies, but the concept is still not quite "there" yet. Some are brilliantly designed with a wide range of free motion and articulation, while others are simply terrible.

IMO, the best RRs are TF1 Prime, TF1 Bumblebee, ROTF Ratchet and ROTF Sideswipe. If you made me pick an absolute favorite, it's easily ROTF Sideswipe by far. Recommend you avoid TF1 Frenzy, TF1 Barricade, ROTF Skids. Also, Ironhide and Fallen are the absolute worst RRs period; neither have any meaningful arm articulation to speak of, something you'd expect in spades on a toy such as this.

The rest are middle of the road - the biggest problem is body parts interfering with the range of motion (ROTF Ironhides arms and shoulders, Skids' fat body) or joints that don't allow a full range of movement (ROTF Fallen).

Forgot to mention the WalMart exclusive RR 2-pack set from TF1, with the battle damaged Prime and Megatron.

Prime in particular looks good from that set.

In my opinion, Skids is hands down the best, followed closely by Starscream, then Sideswipe, Jetfire, Megatron, Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Fallen, and Prime.

    Thanks for all the responses.

I am probably leaning towards Sideswipe or Starscream.

Since no one's mentioned him yet, I've taken a liking to Jetfire. Nice detail, and he's been more posable for me than some of the other newer ones.

Skids is really interesting. Its a lot different from the deluxe. A very vibrant piece regardless.

I vote for jetfire though. It gave me chills when I saw his creepy red eyes and perfect robo beard.
Then again if your at walmart the fast action battler is temporarily cheaper with a head sculpt that that disproportionate.

I have Ironhide and Ratchet, which both have been customized with a lot of paint apps and some very minor sculpting. I love both of them, but Ironhide does have a good deal of issues when it comes to posing. He's only got a set number of ways to really look great while posing, or so I think.

I plan to pick up Sideswipe, Fallen, and maybe Skids later on.

I haven't picked up any Robot Replicas aside from Frenzy and Barricade from the 1st movie. I'd definitely recommend picking Frenzy up. So what if he don't transform, it beats having the teeny-tiny Frenzy fig that comes with all the Deluxe Class Barricade figs.

    I like Ironhide and Ratchet.
Yeah Ironhide's arms are annoying to pose but overall he looks good. Even has the mangled eye and wonky head piece like the renders. Also he has the silver (well grey) nose unlike the voyager.
I think the robot replica Ironhide is the only Ironhide figure to get his overall stature right.

And Ratchet looks nice, plus he has his badass gun from the movies, at last.

Do the new RR actually have decent articulation this time around? These things are way too expensive to be smaller than deluxes, have too little paint apps, and have little articulation
