which prime ratchet are You getting?
Hm...$16 for the Hasbro version, or $30-$40+shipping for the unpainted Takara version that requires tacky looking stickers, has ugly ports, and only one, oversized blade weapon? Tough choice, I'll get back to you on that.
Hasbro's, for ease of availability and the double scalpels.
If only there was a voyager option...
As is, Hasbro all the way.
Those gawd-awful pustule like sores sticking out of the mech tech ports, the fact that as a consumer I have to apply my own stickers, and the increased cost for importing this product means I'm most likely going to pass on Takara Ratchet. Who knows if I'll stick by that embargo once he ships, but for now I'm avoiding him.
Possibly takara because they pretty much made a designer toy I can paint without worrying about how to get rid of the paint already there.
Hasbro. Takara's is more shitty than the stuff that I leave in the toilet.
I bought both,
arms ratchet was only $25 shipped from hlj
And found a prid ratchet the other day.
I'll enjoy the minicom, put the heart beat symbol on prid ratchet and use snow white ratchet for something else.
i am getting both cause takara is fully panted/stickers,1x minicron/weapon and hasbro cause of he has 2x weapons!
I have the Hasbro version and I'm happy with it.
Neither. I don't think the mold is great, I don't like the transformation and the Hasbro paint job leaves me underwhelmed...yet is still 100 times better than Takara's, which is a flat-out abortion.
I figured If I was going to get a too small toy with a robot mode that didn't really impress me, a vehicle mode that was just okay, and an unsatisfying transformation, I might as well just stick with the Cyberverse version, which has all those things but for less than half the price.
True, but you won't have as easy a time getting rid of the warts Takara glued onto him.
I already have the Hasbro version, so there's your answer.
BWAHAAH! this thread is hilarious...a few short weeks ago everyone was going off on how the extra paint app made the Takara version so superior "Why is that so hard to do Hasbro!" Now that people have found out it's a sticker they're pro-Hasbro.... fan rage is funny.
Hasbro. Easier to get and SCREW STICKERS.
We've had a fair idea about the stickers, sprues, for quite a while now, before it was officially announced.
I was thinking about getting the Takara one, but then I figured Reprolabels would do something for him, so I bought the Hasbro.
Takara is out of my price range regardless of the sticker situation. Hasbro will get my coin (if they release the damn thing here in the UK)
The cheaper, non sticker one.
I have Hasbro's, I'm fine with it.
I don't think that was everyone. I think it was just me. That was pretty much word for word what I said when I first saw a thumbnail of the Takara version and thought the stickers were paint.
"Why is that so hard to do Hasbro!" were pretty much exactly my words in that thread. Then we got larger images and it was pointed out to me by pretty much everyone that they were stickers, not paint apps. My interest evaporated instantly.
But you got one thing wrong: I'm not pro-Hasbro Ratchet now, either. I think they both look underwhelming and I have passed on both.
