well, im still working on my fan-comic,Transformers Fusion, and ive come across some difficulty with Cyclonus. now nobody insult me for making cyclonus a helicopter. i mean, if i heard the name Cyclonus before i got into tfs, for me the first thing that comes to mind is that he turns into a helicopter. he will not have his armada form, ill try to make him as colse to G1 as possible. now which one do you think is better? the AH-64, or the Mk411?
That's a good point with his name. And if he's got to be a helicopter, that first one gets my vote for sure.
Cyclonus was pretty sleek so personally I think the fighter choppers (Apache?) would be better than the transport (Blackhawk?)types. Either would be cool though. The name works well for a chopper.
BINGO! Russian attack helicopters would be good posible alt modes for Cyclonus. Cyclonus in the '86 movie and some season 3 episodes is shown as being taller than Galvatron. But he is also a warrior, so I think that Mi-24 Hind would be appropriate alt form for him, more than KA-50. MI-24 Hind is a combination gunship/troop transport helicopter. It's bigger than Apache and KA-50, and pack quite a punch. Forgot to add, Russians nicknamed it "Crocodile" (Hind is NATO designation).
ok, let me change my other post, im now working on the MI-24 Cyclonus. also going to put up the KA-50 Cyclonus so you guys can tell me which one is better.
I like the Hind, but somehow I'm thinking of it more as Scourge. I think the more rounded look would work for him.
Insult you for making Cyclonus a helicopter? It's already been done, 'cause that's what Armada Cyclonus turned into (granted the toy wasn't that great). I'm for the Apache or the Russian helicopters myself.
Pepsiman, since you're interested in MI-24, can I suggest you try using Lugnut's transformation as a basis for Cyclonus'? The Hind's cockpit area is very similar to Lugnut's. Use the cockpit area for his chest, have the arms form the engine, legs form the belly area, and have the tail section split and form wing-like structures on his back.
Even though the Apache has punch and maneuverability, the KA-50 just looks bad-ass. It even has the 'bunny ears' shapes alongside the cockpit. Seeing it in darker colors would probably seal the deal.
