    I'd say the first is best, not only is the background decently bright, but the picture is a bit sharper than the rest.

    Keep up the good work, you've got some great photographic skills coming along there.

    #1 ftw. #3 and #4 are about the same, slightly off-white, while #2 has a yellowy tinge to it.

    On this LCD monitor, the first one appears much more white than the others.

    I'm glad it was up in the air between the two I was thinking of (1 and 4)

    The whole point of asking was because my monitors made 1 and/or 4 look whiter, depending on which I was using. The whole point of testing was to decide what white balance setting to use. #1 was Auto, #4 was Flourescent (I used GE Reveal bulbs)... But the explosion of one of my bulbs rendered this test invalid, so I'll have to retest it later.

    So Photoshop is going against numerous people?

    So... Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix the dark corner? (Like I had mentioned, it was a well-lit area, I don't see why it picks up less light there)

    I was going to chime in with #1 as well, but Photoshop decreed there is significantly more white (and I mean 100% white, digitally defined by #FFFFFF) in #4 than #1. It wasn't even close.

    4th has the whiter background, but first is a clearer picture.

    In case you need to hear more, the first one looks the whitest to me, too.

    As for the shadow in the corners, I'd say there's still not enough light for your camera even though it looks sufficient to your eyes. There might be some adjustments available in your camera.
    I have a couple of cardboards with aluminium foil wrapped to reflect the light. :lol  I am cheap.
