I'd like a combined form figure for the Mighty Orbots. I don't know if I'd want to collect a whole toyline for it though.
1. Thundercats! I was so crushed when the Mattel based line was cancelled. 2. G.I.Joe! In 6 inch format! I'll buy them all! Its a pity Hasbro won't give it a try.
Nothing! There is already more than I can handle coming at this point. If they make, I buy. If they don't make, I never have to worry about it and money saved!
this is the correct answer. If Hasbro is reluctant to try a regular retail release they should do a subscription based system for collectors similar to Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics line. I say similar because hopefully it would be run by more competent people.
This. I'm like Schrödinger's cat with the prospect of a 6in GI Joe line -- I want it to happen AND hope that it doesn't happen anytime soon.
Visionaries - Even if they did make this toy line, I probably wouldn't buy it. I just want to check it out when I go to TRU or Target. 12" Trendmasters Kaiju - Now, this I would buy. Bandai Ultraman Ultra Act - and make the villain Kaiju affordable! I shouldn't have to pay $100 each for a Baltan, Z-Ton or Red King.
Starcom Maybe have a cartoon that doesn't suck, Give the vehicles guns with launching missiles, give the figures hands with circular ports so they can grip things and not break open, Give both the heroes and their villains modular bases that utilize their magnetic boot gimmickry.
Grand Champions Thundercats- @LigerPrime We saw a giant Lion-o and Mum-Ra at TrU yesterday. Fashion Star Fillies Keypers GI Joe with all the actual characters and not random, nameless, fuzzy-headed Joe. Design-a-saur bones Blue Ribbon Champions M.U.S.C.L.E Men Biker Mice From Mars A reboot of Ruby Spears Mega Man Affordable classic Jem and the Hologram dolls Do McDonald's toys count? I'd love to see returns of the McDonald's Playland characters and Food-changeables Care Cousins-I know we have a few but come on! I need Treatheart, Lotsaheart and Swiftheart and all the rest! Plus Perfect and Polite.
Not 80s, but I'd like to see Hot Wheels take another shot at a fictional narrative again. Hot Wheels Highway 35 was great, AcceleRacers was bomb, Battle Force 5 wasn't spectacular, and I despise Team Hot Wheels the animation with every fiber of my being. I'm patiently waiting on their cinematic debut (and hopefully universe), but with other toymakers taking the helm and Hot Wheels doing okay with representing real car culture, I wonder if there is any more room in the soul left for fantasy.
Yes this. Between my brother and I we got almost the complete Starcom line for Christmas one year. I assume my mom got it all on clearance somewhere because my parents were not ones to go overboard on presents.
My boyfriend tracked down a Shadow Bat with two Shadow Parasites at our local Vintage toy shop. The toy line had some serious promise, and it's really quite awesome that the spring-driven motor gimmick still functions three decades later, but it hit stores during the WORST time possible, the tail end of Transformers, GI Joe, and He-Man
