You mean I'm STILL a cute young girl at 36 today? Awww, thanks so much!

Stop beating yourself up about how old you are...this is FOR anyone who DIDN'T grow up during the 1980s, including peeps who were already out of childhood by 1984 AS WELL AS peeps who weren't even born at the time of G1 Transformers. This isn't about how old you are feeling...chill, dude.

(And yep, this also is for the peeps who did grow up with Transformers, BTW. Thanks for all the interesting stories!)

We're all still kids here, heh.

A quote I see around plenty:

"Growing old is mandatory... growing up is optional!"

    (and I was 8 in '84 - right in at the beginning! ;)  )

I was born in 85 and don't really remember much of the 80's. I was also into dinosaurs and monsters more than anything else in my younger years, anyway.
I didn't have any interest in Transformers until I saw Beast Wars on tv and got hooked on that.

I was born in '93 but I have a weird story.
It all started with Beast Wars, a show that I watched but didn't really care about the toys. After that I didn't really care until RID. Holy craps I wanted every toy but never got one fo 'em. It was really annoying when my mom asked what a transformer was even though she bought them for my friends as birthday presents. When I was at Wal-mart one day I say transformers and asked my dad, he said I could have the cheapest one. That happened to be keychain Bumblebee. I think thats why I like G1 better than the rest of the series because Bumblebee became my favourite toy. I played with him until Cristmas when the Armadas rolled in. I've been hooked ever since.

I was born in 1988, so transformers for me was beast wars when I was 10 to 12. It was just recently in the past 2 years that I got hooked. I was seaarching for the theme songs and that brought me here and htne I got hooked and now almost everything I buy is TF related.

I was also born in '88. My first real introduction to Transformers was Beast Wars, which I loved. I saw G1 for the first time this year, when the new movie got me interested in TFs again. :)

I was 12 in '84. There wasn't enough technology around then forcing tweve year olds to act like adults yet. :)

I was born in 91, and my first TFs were Rapido and Skram at the age of 2, and haven't stopped since. So yeah, I'm a little young compared to most of you folks here, but at least you're all setting good examples right? XD

Born in '91. Bought a few Beast Wars stuff, but wasn't really into them. A long time later, I got them out and started playing with them again. Then it just got worse until now I'm a full fledged fan.

Lucky me, I managed to really get into TF's at the start of Cybertron. That's why my collection is mainly Cybertron, with the odd Energon, Alt, Classics, Beast Wars and SWTF.
