    My own.

Primus created the Thirteen but then the Quintessons came and created everyone else.

I dig the Quintesson origin myself. The idea of a slave race breaking the bonds of servitude and all that jazz.

Mix of nano-tech and Primus origins for me.

Primus was/is an ancient enormous technological lifeform. At some point, long ago, he curled up and went into stasis for some reason, assuming a huge spherical form.

In the same way that macroscopic organic lifeforms are actually composed of billions of microscopic organic lifeforms all working in unison (the organism's own cells, symbiotic bacteria, etc...), Primus also is/was composed of billions of tiny (to something on his scale) technological "cells" and "bacteria".

Over millions of years, some of these "cells" evolved into sentient, independent lifeforms. As they developed their own civilization and culture, they named the dormant body of Primus "Cybertron", assuming it was simply a metallic planet.

Autobots and Decepticons, while both evolving from the same basic source, descended from differing cell types. The Autobots are descended from "working" cells while the Decepticons descended from "immune system" cells (think of it like the difference between red and white blood cells).

This is why the Autobots are built for labor, while the Decepticons are built for war.

The other, non-Transformer Cybertronian lifeforms that are often referred to in fiction are simply the other cells and bacteria that didn't make the evolutionary leap to sentience.

Makes more sense than "naturally occurring pulleys and gears", not as cliche as robots rebelling against their creators, and takes the supernatural "good god vs. evil god" crap out of the fiction...

I'm going with neither; I like the origin where Primus created then, then the Quintessons enslaved them for a time before getting their butts kicked offworld.

At first i liked the quintesson origin, but its much cooler that there was actually evoultion on cybertron, also it explains why there are cybertronian animals and plants and why there are amles and females.

Nanobots/Primus origin. Cause even Evolution can be divinely inspired.

Even the G1 toon contradicts itself on the Quints.

One ep says they built em, another ep says they enslaved them, another ep says they experimented on em, and yet again another ep says they built em, and then the autobot revolt time travel ep says they enslaved them only for 3000 years but didn't build them. So I lean Cybertron existed pre-quints, with its own life, and the Quints saw it, and came and enslaved them and studied them, and experimented on the life, even trying to replicate it with the transorganics. (The ones who came after the first primes).

So I'm just gonna stick with the primus origin. The quint one is too confusing, and since most of it is from the quints, it's hard to believe they are telling the truth, or if they've just been living the lie so long they believe it themselves now.

I prefer the Primus origin, with evolution, and a Quintesson influence on top of that.

    This...

I like the quint idea, just poorly executed as others have stated.

The idea of deities is silly to me, but i guess, since its fiction, i can tolerate that. ;)

It is the most well defined origin... and even though I don't have the Primus toy, it looks pretty nifty.

I'll be looking forward to see how Hasbro pulls the 13 all together. Right now I just hope it doesn't become a bullshit farce like Takara's revised timeline is.

Although I voted for Nanobots because I dislike the Quintessons origin.

Quintessons. They were a very advanced race in what was shown of them. They had the technology to go to other dimensions, experiment in time-travel, cloak the space around a planet and were the only ones able to revive a dead Transformer back to life when it was beyond Autobot understanding of how to do it.
