That alt mode would still be ridiculous without the trailer hiding the back half of it. But bot mode would be greatly improved.

I have to disagree. MP-36 is an embarrassment. TT couldn't pin down that floppy rear barrel, cover up the extreme panel mess on the shoulders, do anything about the arms, and the less said about the back, the better. I felt like they got about half way in the design and said, "good enough, let's go get a beer".

I have MP-36. He is the best G1 Megatron so far, but not worth the $180 that I paid for him. MP-5 was the best Megatron when he came out, but there was room for improvement. There is definitely still a lot of room for improvement with MP-36.

At least MP-10 cleans up well. When I look at him on my shelf, I don't fell like he was half completed.

MMC Sphinx / Liger: Not much to add here. After owning both I can't recommend Liger enough tho.

MP Ultra Magnus / Delta Magnus: Now I know this one's gonna backfire, but I still believe they nailed the look of the character with that one.

MP Cheetor : Just wow. And I'm not a huge beast fan to begin with

I think X - Transbots Windcharger was pretty accurate too but I also understand the problems people had with him...

He is from the IDW universe and his components are MP scale... He doesn't rely on add-on parts to achieve his stature (his size is almost in scale with his source material)... Not everything is about size (likeness to his source material, engineering and attention to details also count)! So basically he is an IDW MP combiner!

Actually super easy to answer - none of them. No-one has NAILED any figure 100%.

Every single character on your list either has an alternative that at least some prefer or has detractors that would prefer a new version. ie: Every one of the official ones has at least one fundamental flaw that kills it for at least some collectors (and most of these aren't my own objections, just ones that some people have about some figures):
Bumblebee - Alt mode not at all toon accurate, colour issues
Prowl, Bluestreak, Smokescreen - kibbly bot modes with big hollow feet, poor headsculpts, back kibble
Wheeljack - incorrect hands, lack of white paint, fragile "wings"
Sideswipe -bot mode not even remotely toon accurate
Red Alert - fake wheels, colour issues - (some like the white, some like the grey but some aren't happy with either version.)
Tracks - hollow back, loose floppy limbs, uninspiring bot mode
Soundwave - too much line work, lack of paint (honestly Soundwave is the toughest to discredit as he's amazing, but he's still not perfect, at least for some)
The same can be said for every other figure on any of these lists, even more so for a lot of the 3P efforts.
A "perfect" representation of a figure is completely subjective and impossible. No release will satisfy everyone. And every one could be improved upon. No-one has bothered to release a new Blaster or Perceptor but both could absolutely be improved. And if the MP line continues for another few years (likely with combiners, headmasters, beast wars etc) then technology and design skill will improve and stuff we now think is amazing will be surpassed.

    That's fair enough.
At the same height as MP Prowl, he's a bit too small for me to put in with MPs. I'd want him ideally 2 heads taller than Prowl to be an MP - for me anyway.
Fantastic figure but I'd want an Impactor at comic scale, roughly the same height as Springer and Roadbuster.

I know which figures haven't been nailed.............
Takara Tracks, Ironhide, Ratchet and Hot Rod, all of them are terrible in robot mode imo.

Hard to tell. Since for me "nailing it" doesn't focus only on the look of the figure rather if a toy is a collectible that tickles my sensibilities.

I prefer the design of the MP figures before they got super toon slavish so none of those do it for me in a way that they nailed an interesting to look at, high quality toy that is infused with nostalgia.

Sadly most MP toys are lacking in fit and finish to me an they seem to be unable to get rid of it which has the top spot in my requirements list.

I think I have the fewest issues with MP Soundwave and MMCs Sphinx.

There are a few nitpicks with these candidates. For example I greatly dislike the hip design of Soundwave and Sphinx could be a more refined figure overall. However I could not see myself upgrading those.

MP Tracks or Maketoys Downbeat, for example, I would be interested in replacing. If a new Tracks had a solid upper body and a cowl that makes him look like Tracks, or a Jazz that had the Martini livery and a ditched the swirly, awful looking "metallic platic I would ba all over those.

This Spark toys Optimus Prime pretty much nailed it. They painted the shit out of everything on it lol. It has the button to collapse the legs that we wish Despotron had. Future is very bright for this company

Maketoys Contactshot is the perfect Pointblank.
Takara Mp Primal is the perfect Optimus Primal.
Takara Mp Starsaber is the perfect Starsaber.

Can't think of any other figures that would be insanely difficult to surpass aside from probably FanToys Cyclonus next year if they get his colors right. Everything else certainly can be, I can find fault with everything else Takara and FT has put out, including Sovereign and I looooove Sovereign but theirs no getting around the fact he doesn't have toon accurate purple.
