which version of Jhiaxus do you like and why? the orginal warlord of cybertronian empire from G2 or the new IDW hunched psychotic sientist one.

i personaly love the original one, he was a differnet kind of villain that added to the story, and any villain that makes OP and megatron cooperate with each other is pretty tough cookie.

    No contest here, G2 Jhiaxus.
You should put a poll as well.

    G2 Jhiaxus.

IDW Jhiaxus serves his purpose too, but he should not have been named after G2 Jhiaxus or look similarly like him.

They should have made a G2 Jhiaxus toy already.

IDW Jhiaxus. G2 Jhiaxus could be swapped out for anybody.

    This.

As much as I liked the G2 comics, Jhiaxus was really generic. Tough, yes. But he's pretty much the stock tyrannical despot, of which there have been plenty of more interesting ones in TFs.

The mad scientist version is at least a little less common.

The other tyrannical despots were all killed before G2 so someone new had to fill the role.

G-2 Jhiaxus all the way he was better than the IDW version.

The G-2 Jhiaxus version was better because he was a strong, huge & wise faction leader. he was able to crack the reproduction formula & create his own army. he was so strong that neither optimus nor megatron could defeat him.

The IDW version of Jhiaxus is a low ranking yes man type idiot soldier. he takes orders from almost everyone & isn't a born leader like the G-2 version. he is so weak that arcee can beat him up. he is insane,a wacky mad scientist. his physical body looks awful like a bent over mangled piece of garbage of metal distorted parts. once again IDW ruins another awesome TF character.

IDW. G2 Jhiaxus is really just another Megatron.

I'm with idw jhiaxus as mad scientist cyber perverts are pretty rare and hard to to come by and tyrants seem to be everywhere in the transformers universe. I really do like the g2 comics but I feel the only minor let down for me was that they killed jhiaxus so soon as I was hoping we was going to see there was more to him than just a despot

Agreed. I know G2 got a lot of complaints, but I enjoy the G2 comics.

I enjoyed the G2 Comics, but Jhiaxus role seemed pretty generic.

I like his place in the IDW world and think they can do a lot more interesting things with his character.

Now that I think of it, when was Jhiaxus first introduced in Furman's run? Was it towards the end before AHM was about to hit? If so, I wonder if it was meant to be another play on "Gee, Axe us" like in G2 when they found out they were only going to get to do 12 issues.

G2 Jhiaxus was just a generic bad guy who looked, acted, and talked generic. He was utterly boring in every way.

IDW Jiaxus was just a minor character that, while more interesting, also never did much besides create Arcee in literally the dumbest fucking way to introduce female TFs that has ever existed.

So neither, they both suck eggs.

I don't know what was wrong with Budiansky when he wrote tech specs for 11 Decepticons and decides to make TWO of them traitors! If the franchise had been run properly, the only Decepticon leaders we would have seen by 1993 would have been Megatron and Galvatron, not counting the odd times Starscream took over. Ratbat, Scorponok, Bludgeon... all those characters were unfit to lead and hailed from an era when the Marvel run had turned into shit. Shockwave is way better suited as an immoral scientist than traitor, leaving Jhiaxus to fill the role he was created for... 3rd faction Tyrant.

Maybe one day someone will make the smart decision and redo G1, bringing Transformers to untold heights of greatness.

Starscream wasn't really a traitor in the U.S. Marvel comics until The Underbase Saga.

Decepticons are self-serving. It makes sense that many of them are traitors.

Having that many traitors in one faction weakened the characterizations of both Megatron and Starscream, two of the four most important characters in the franchise... thus weakening Transformers as a brand.

I'm stuck in the middle. I want the mad scientist aspect but I want him to be formidable as well, not giving a damn about either side just going for his own agenda.
