I finally completed watching all 20 episodes (so far) of TFP, and I love this series. It is among the best, in my opinion, very Beast Wars-like.

I was wondering, of all the episodes so far, which is your favourite, and why?

Mine is Operation: Breakdown, because I'm an Optimus fan and he gets a lot of characterization in this one. And Breakdown is a great character too. I thought I was going to hate M.E.C.H. but they make neat villains.

    Which was yours?

Tough choice! There are a lot of good ones. Right now I think my favorite is Rock Bottom, but Scrapheap and Deus ex Machina are favs too.

Either Rock Bottom or Deus Ex Machina. Both are full of characterization for all characters involved and got some really fun moments ( Bulkhead vs. Starscream with the harvester is simply so so epic and you really cheer for the character who moments ago was feeling down about himself).

I'd also like to mention Operation Breakdown and Crisscross. Both episodes were super sweet and considering one came after the other it was just a really fun pack.

Predatory. While I loved the series from the get-go, this episode was the one where I felt the series really kicked into high gear. It's also my go-to episode when trying to convert others to TFP.

Partners. I watched the whole thing in one go and I've never done that for any of the episodes since I would usually lose interest half-way through the episode and then stop it and continue tomorrow...if I continued at all...

The five greatest episodes so far IMO:

Scrapheap-great characterization, made the kids useful in a believable way

Predatory-introduced Airachnid and focused on just a few characters for maximum development

Out of his Head-Megatron returns nuff said, we also get a few hints at the nature of Raf and BB's friendship

Crisscross-Involves all three of the introduced factions and has an awesome fight between two of my favorite Transformers, Jack also gets to be useful again

Rock Bottom-Good development for Miko and Jack, the con subplot deepens, Megatron gives a nice bit of foreshadowing about the consequences Jack's actions will probably have

1 - Partners - This episode explored Starscream in a magnificient way, making him even more complex than he was before, he is not just a "backstabber", for the first time in a while, SS was actually willing to stop betraying Megatron and swear loyalty, and that makes the character even more three-dimensional, much more human.
Then the episode kicks the table on you in an awesome way: "I have been a fool. Made mistakes. Monumetal Ones, but now I have gained a clear understanding of my place in this universe, of who I am: Starscream, aligned with no side, servant, to no one." BEST. MONOLOGUE. EVAH.

2 - Darkness Rising 4 and Five - This episodes caught that magnificient sense of "Autobots wage their battles to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons": A true conflict, epic battles with well-developed characters in both sides.

3 - Con Job, I felt this episode really nailed how the show should work in teh plot/action scale, we had both awesome fighting scenes [Wheeljack VS Makeshit, Wheeljack VS 'Cons in the sands of Egypt, Wheeljack VS The Decpticon Army at the Nemesis], and an awesome plot [Makeshift schemings, Wheeljack escaping].

Partners- Arcee learns Starscream killed Cliffjumper and Starscream chooses his side.

Scrapheap - Nice seeing the Scraplets again.

Out of his Head/Sick Mind- Megatron's baaaaack

Deus Ex Machina- Brought in Breakdown, Knockout and made miko awesome

Doublecross- Silas + Airachnid = trouble for Jack, Arcee and June.

The New episode with Bulkhead and the Energon Codes.

I'll go ahead and add the new episode to my list, KNockout and Breakdown were great in that episode

Um... Can I pick a top 3? I honestly can't decide one
    In no particular order:
Speed Metal: Knock Out was, as usual, amazing in this episode. The moments before the intro truly showed he can be a threat if he wants to, and Jack and Arcee really shined as characters with flaws in this episode, too.
Predatory: Airachnid was freaking creepy in this episode. Her "Hello, Jack." scene made the character for me. It also nicely demonstrated that the humans aren't COMPLETELY useless, contrary to the opinion of some.
Rock Bottom: -Steve Blum's performance as Starscream.
    -Frank Welkers' performance as Megatron.

Deux Et Machina - the introduction to Knockout and Breakdown nuff said

Out of his head - nice to have Bumblebee as the focus for just once

Rock Bottom - Brought some emotion and suspence to the plot

Con Job - Wheeljack was a badass, wasn't that enough?

They ALL have something to love about them! Though at this point, I would say my favorite is Partners. GREAT acting from both Steve Blum, and Sumalee Montano, great fight scene, great interactions...GREAT. :p

    Rockbottom, hands down!

No humans, not that I mind them, though it's nice to have a Cybertronian centered episode every now and then.

Arcee getting some nice character development, ditto for Starscream—Steve Blum was at his best this episode.
