and i like both equally....was a fan of wreckage originally...the recolor of him as bludgeon fits...and the voyager is also pretty decent as a modern update to the G1 character. though i like the voyager mold more for banzai-tron due the coloring used...bludgeon's orange was a little too G2 gaudy in color brightness...
Voyager, just because of his size and the headrobots upgrade kit makes such a big diffrence to the overall look of this figure.
If Bludgeon was a Stryker or a Generation III LAV sure, that'd work. But as it stands, Bludgeon is a TANK, which is a big difference than the Stryker that Wreckage is. Oh and the Voyager is a samurai, which is another big, important character trait. So what can we say about the deluxe? 1) First of he's not a skeleton. That's a big killer. 2) He's not a tank. Big importance here. It's unavoidable that the robot underneath the shell has ALWAYS been a tank. 3) He's not a samurai. Sure the Wreckage mold has swords, but he does not have the display as a samurai. Wreckage mold is just another bot with energon blades. He lacks everything that made him Bludgeon, while the voyager is unavoidably and purely Bludgeon.
It'll take more than a head to make that thing NOT Movieverse, sorry. When they make an actuall Classiverse Bludgeon, then I'll buy one. Hell, if they remold the toy to be less Bionicly, I'd buy it.
The deluxe Bludgeon actually looks pretty cool with the Headrobots update they're doing from him. But I still prefer the Voyager like I said before.
