Which is your ideal Third Party representation of G1 MP Jazz? Why? So far, we have 3. ToyWorld's Coolsville is on the large side, but could still fit in scale with the TT MP's, I think? I'm not entirely sure. MakeToys Downbeat looks good, but they kind of messed up on the alt mode (that rear end! Eww!), and Generation Toy's J4ZZ is a modern take, but it does look good. I'd also factor in quality, transformation, and aesthetics. For those of you who have any of these, please share your options on them. Thanks!

*Let's assume Takara won't be making an MP Jazz. We're comparing existing choices at the time of this poll creation. :)

EDIT: POLL EDITED. You can also change your vote and pick more than one option.

Not sure any are quite 'ideal'...but MT's is by far the most MP-worthy.
J4ZZ isn't MP style (G1). Coolkat is too big

I went Maketoys for a couple of reasons:- I've always had them as one of the top tier companies for quality, and I display in bot mode where i think they did very well. The visor is a real highlight.

That being said, were I more for toy accuracy or alt mode, Toyworld looks real good, especially the deco in car mode. I collect some IDW CHUG so the GT is maybe just a wee bit too big, but also looks a great option. If I wnet the slippery IDW MP look I'd be very happy with the Generation Toy.

Downbeat for me. Love the overall look and the top half is Jazz. Innovative transformation for the car hood.

But it’s not perfect. They cheaped out on the finish. Paint (and non-paint) choices are poor. And the legs are not clean at all.

If Takara ever does Jazz, Downbeat will get sent to the Island of Misfit Transformers.

Make toys has my vote and money....was originally thinking of the Transform and roll something something....but as it became apparent that it might be vaporware, I decided this is the closest i'll get in the proportions that i need. (i.e. Chest size.....that came out wrong..LOL, visor, overall outline...)

A bit more lining and details as well as the trunk kibble on the alt form woulda knocked this outta the park for me..

Never getting tired of posing him mid transformation, just like in the toon, when he'd "jump forward" and catch himself with his hands and transform....

Downbeat hands down for my G1 shelf. Yes the back a not ideal but I don’t ever have him displayed with his back end showing. Very cool design/transformation and even if Takara makes a Jazz, Downbeat won’t be going anywhere.

I couldn’t resist J4ZZ though so I picked him up also. He hangs out with the Spec Ops team (all of my non Season 1 Carbots i.e. Smokescreen, G2 Sideswipe, Silverstreak). The transformation and finish is very MP so he’s not going anywhere either.

This poll should be multiple choice..

I wanted a G1 Jazz and an updated version from IDW.

    IMG_20170521_221421.jpg

I want a Stepper/Ricochet from another company. MMC or Takara preferably.

Coolsville all the way. I'm still waiting on a Fanstoys or even better TT version to be announced, but for now CV looks like he'll do the job right well.

I agree. Actually all 3 are pretty good, but after the badly needed repro lables, there is something really special about the make toys version. I've got all 3. Toyworld is in car mode and given how awful it was getting him there I suspect I'll never transform him again.

I have Downbeat and J4ZZ and love them both. They both have been customized in some way. Downbeat is my G1 MP Jazz for now. He's one of my favorite carbots so I'll likely pick up all iterations that I can, except Coolsville. lol what a turd (IMHO)[IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

For me its a no-brainer,MakeToys Downbeat. Although ToyWorld Coolsville has the best altmode with all those emblems.Right now I would say both Downbeat and Coolsville are neck-n-neck for different reasons but Downbeat is slightly ahead by a thread for best robot mode.

Honestly having both is worth it,so I would suggest getting both if you can.Later all.

Coolsville has the best alt mode, very nice. But for bot mode it has to be Downbeat. Coolsville has that incredibly annoying head flap, and his proportions are off. I don't mind him being a bit taller than the usual carbot, but he feels stretched out and lanky. Also the hollow forearms are very hard to overlook in a carbot. I could forgive it in a minibot where maybe there just isn't enough plastic to go around, but surely there was a better option for a figure this size. Even though I really like Downbeat, Jazz is one of my favs so I'd at least take a look if FT or MMC/OM did one. But for now I feel very content. Looking forward to getting MT's Stepper/Richochet repaint.

    What's wrong with his head?

Anyway, that flap behind his head doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Poll needs a non of the above option. All of the choices had flaws, and Jazz is one of those characters I want to be just about perfect on my shelf.
