Metroid Prime 3 or Metroid:Other M? Which is the better game that I should purchase in the future?
Both are pretty great in their own right. The Other M is pretty short though.
There are more complaints about Other M. I haven't played Other M, so I can't say which is better, but I can tell you that you won't be disappointed with Metroid Prime 3.
Prime 3 is pretty much the winning formula from the previous two games, but with added motion controls that work. I haven't played Other M, myself.
If you've played the first two on the cube then definitely play three. Other M is a totally different game looks and gameplay wise and was made by a different team. I never played Other M but have heard mixed opinions on it.
IF you can find it get the metroid prime trilogy its prime 1 2 and 3!
Yeah, get Triology. All three games in one package with a unified control scheme. Well worth the money.
I just couldn't get in to the FPS Metroids, so im gonna have to go with Other M.
It's a good game despite it's flaws, which I think get judged too harshly.
I thought Other M was a bad game.
Metroid Prime 3 is, in my opinion, the best-crafted single-player experience the Wii has to offer.
I was hyped for Other M, played it, and it's garbage. it fails as a metroid game, and any other type of game. it's a complete bore to play, and I've had random problems with it detecting changing the orientation of the remote. Biggest letdown I've ever had from a nintendo published game, and the ONLY letdown I've ever had in a Metroid game.
get Prime 3, or Trilogy.
Trilogy is the winner, but I didn't find Other M as bad as people make it out to be. The combat is fun and different, it's really the linearity and terrible story that kill it. If they made another game like it with traditional 2d Metroid style levels and little to no story like previous Metroid games, they might have a winning formula.
I dont see the hate in Other M it wasnt that bad!
Other M has good gameplay but HORRID story writing, Stick with Prime Trilogy.
I can see people saying it has good gameplay or wasn't that bad if they're able to look past it being called a Metroid game. I mean come on, seriously, the environments are linear, uncreatively designed, and in combat you don't even have to aim.
I'm surprised Other M went so heavy on story, considering how all other Metroid games didn't have much of that.
Other M has Nightmare, Queen Metroid, and even Phantoon!
Prime has... homages to Kraid and Mother Brain.
The only Prime I didn't care for was 2, but Prime 3 made up for it and was an excellent edition to the series. Other M was disspointing but I really don't think it was bad. If you take the story bits out, it felt like a below average Metroid, but an above average game overall. I just didn't pay much mind to the story. But I do agree that the environmentes felt uninspired, but I felt that way with Fusion but a lot of people love it.
Anyways, the answer would be Prime 3, but it does finish off a story arc from the first two so I would seek out the trilogy.
Wonder if I should sell my copies of Trilogy and Other M. Never got around to playing them, though I've played all three Prime games individually.
Other M is a good game as long as you don't get caught in the locked door glitch.
Prime. Other M just doesn't feel like a proper Metroid game to me, and I usually prefer platformers to FPSes.
other m was good but the story sucked.
go with metroid prime 3 or better yet metroid prime trilogy (if you can find it, its worth the money)
