for the sake of really thinking about it, i'm excluding the "Five faces of darkness" and "return of OP" multi parters. there have been some varied opinions about the 3rd season over the years.

for me, it would definitely be "the killing Jar". it has a fun and interesting plot. much like S2, out of a large cast, we get focus on a small group in a great way, especially a mixed group from different faction/races. fresh off the movie we continue to see the quintessons as the greater threat. the interactions between the cast were fun, plus it was one of the few occasions where one of the allicons/sharkticons had the spotlight. there is just somemuch that is awesome about this episode that i cant go into but to me it is definitely the best episode of season 3 and was a great followup to the movie and FFOD.

so, what episode in it do you consider the best episode of the season.

EDIT: i am now aware of the typo in the title, please dont bug me about it

The "Beast" episode of season 3 is also one of my best: Call of the Primitives.

Maybe the only episodes from season 3 that I don't like.

When I see the wusification of the youth of America today, with their crybaby safe spaces, over-coddling and whatnot, is it possible that the starting point the societal downward spiral can all be traced back to is when Hasbro decided to backtrack on the death of Optimus Prime? Seems likely.

Every other episode, I like. Even Carnage. My favorite would have to be Five Faces of Darkness, which is in fact probably my favorite story of all G1.

Wow, even though it's still my favourite I totally agree with where you're coming from, wussification and all, haha, I myself would have liked Rodimus Prime to have continued being the leader as he was more interesting because of his insecurities but....it is what it is, it's still my favourite season 3 episode, haha! And I still think the majority of season 3 sucked!

    :p

The youth of today weren't even alive when that aired. A 20 year old would've been born in 1997, while Beast Wars was first airing, & I doubt they'd remember anything from that. Maybe by the time they were 6, in which case Armada or Energon were on tv.

I'm saying that was the beginning of the process that led to what we have today, not an instant transformation of those 1986 kids.

ROOP was spineless and pointless. Everybody who only watched the show because of OP had allready stopped watching by then.

War Dawn. Always War Dawn. I love showing that clip of Optimus mowing down all the Decepticons whenever a Bayverse fan makes some crack about G1 OP being too soft and only Murder Prime actually having what it takes to fight a war.
