My girlfriend and I have had this discussion before, and this is our list.

    1. Jesus. I wouldn't talk about religion or life, I just want to sit down with him, tell jokes, order a pizza and play some video games with the man.

    2. Benjamin Franklin. The man was Revolutionary McGuyver (Invented bifocals, the potbellied stove, swim fins, lightning rods, etc.) and was quite the ladies man. Definitely the guy to party with.

    3. Albert Einstein. I read an article over how much he loved special effects in films, and this is the guy I'd want to watch modern sci fi films with.

    1. Ayn Rand. I love her novels, and I think talking with her about her philosophies would be fun.

    2. Ralph Wiley. If you follow sports, you may remember him. I really admired his articles and his take on things, so it would be nice to talk to him directly about all sorts of things sports-related.

Runners-up: Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe, John and Abigail Adams, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Jackie Robinson, Malcolm X and Jack Johnson (the boxer). Among the living, Christina Aguilera, Mick Jagger, Robert Plante, John Lewis, Bob Woodward, Barack Obama, Lauren Bacall, Laura Linney, Catherine Keener, Bill Simmons and Gregory Maguire.

    Good ?
1)Jesus that is a no brainer for me.
2)Howard Hughes I would love to get a glimpse of what was going on in that head. Esp during the late 30's to early 40's during the development of the HR1, hercules and XF11. Talk about someone who had balls! not many people are cut from this mold anymore.
3)Ronald Reagan a true hero of mine. IMHO one of the best presidents we have ever had.

General Rommel: I always admired and respected the man. One of the few decent german generals of WWII.

Ghandi: It´s a person I would love to chat with.

Hitler and Stalin are on top of my list tho, I just want to ask them them one simple question: "Why?"

    Just two? Impossible:

    Bobby Kennedy
Thomas Paine (Absolutely, the most interesting of the Founding Fathers)
    Charles Darwin
    Hart Crane
    John Rawls
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (The greatest leader any country has ever known)
    Carl Sagan
    John Brown
    Stephen J. Gould
    Eugene Debs
Bill Hicks (Really, just to see him live on stage)
Jerry Thomas (The "father of American mixology")
    Nikolai Tesla
Roscoe Holcomb (Really, just to listen to him on his front porch)
    Albert Pinkham Ryder
l'Inconnue de la Seine (To find out who she was before she was fished out of the Seine)
    Benedictus de Spinoza

am just ribbing ya here, but how can you play video games with a Messiah? he can't fail, can't die (in a game), you can't sneak up him in Halo- he sees all, knows all- and well, you can't call foul on the dude, lol.
But i totally dig wanting to know the man and what he is like in a chill session.

There's so many big leaguers of the world, but i want to meet the Nucking Futs of History. Not Manson or Bundy or Hitler; i want the nutjobs that really stepped out and lived a bigger than life, life.
    Howard Hughes types.

I wish i could have met Caligula just long enough to warn him that he was committing suicide by insanity.

Alexander the Great- who says a 20 something was a slacker back then?

Amelia Earhart. Chuck Yeager. The American guy who stepped off a balloon at 120,000 feet and fell back to earth just to test a space suit.

(and i think Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and those founding fathers were nuts too, but in a brilliant way.)

Sane people are one thing, but the weirdoes that do what others think of as insane. they rock.
