I've started collecting now and I need a Grimlock figure. Which one should I buy? Transformers Classics, Transformers Animated, or Transformers Henkei

 

MP Grimlock if you can afford it.

 

I prefer animated grimlock. His transformation stays true to the G1 original, can be relatively easily be found here in the US and is a lot of fun to play with.

 

This! Even the Activator Grimlock is a winner! I didn't really like the Classics/Henkei mold. Not bad, just did not care for the mold!

 

I'd go for Classics or Animated. The chrome on Henkei Grimlock seems out of place, but either of the other 2 would be a good choice

 

I would get all of them, but for sure Animated Grimlock

MP Grimlock as well when that comes out  

 

I'd say the Animated one is the best & also the easiest to obtain right now.

 

well i'd suggest animated grimlock for ur animated collection, and classics grimlock for ur classics/universe collection   seriously. but if its just one of those 3 ur wanting, get animated. much better than the classics mold.. and dont get the henkei..

 

Classics/Henkei.

 

I vote for Animated, very g1ish

 

Between those three, I'd so go with the Classics figure.

If you had it up there, I'd say get the Animated Activators Grimlock  

 

I like my Henkei Grimy - the chrome is G1-ish.

 

Animated Grimmy. He just Awesome!!!!


Titanium is pretty Sweet as well.

 

Animated first. He's awesome.

Second Classics. It's an okay mold. Not great.

Henkei last...same mold as Classics, but garish deco. Worst use of chrome in the entire line.

 

Definitely get Animated out of those choices. But I would also look into getting a G1 Grimlock at some point.

The Classics Grimlock mold is my least favorite (of all Grimlocks and the line), and I'm a huge cheerleader of Classics.

I love the Animated model. I really like the Titanium version. I also like the Energon one that comes with Swoop, even if the Combiner mode of the two is lame.

 

Animated Grimlock is an absolutely fantastic toy. Classics Grimlock is pretty good, but go for Animated first definitely.

 

Animated and MP
