I really want to get a decent GaoGaiGar figure but can't seem to figure out which is a good one to go with. The Genesic one is nice, but a bit pricey and the DX GGG looks more blocky then I expected judging from photos...then there seems to be several others out there...which one is a good one to go with? Also, anyone have pictures that show its size compared to other transformer toys?

That Genesic one looks too sweet , would go with that one. Not sure if he's worth it though so hope a few clear that up

Only have DX GGG for now and these are the only sizecomparisons I have.
He was well worth the money

Wow. Its difficult to decide for you because they are pros and cons.

    1. CM Genesic GGG.

    Pros: i) Its looks good
    ii) Its quite huge

    Cons:
    i) Pricey
    ii) Fragil
iii) Quality Control - there are truth to the rumors that the China factories illegally "overproduced" some of them and their quality is really lousy. Eg. Loose joints etc.

This point really put me off the toy and eventually got the Takara DX version.

The downside of the Takara version is that its blocky bit "sturdy".

    There're three main ones:

Takara / Sonokong DX GGG -
The original, very sturdy, not very poseable. He's very big though and can be reasonable to buy.

CM's GGG / Star GGG - If you get either of these, get Star GGG. He's got everything on the first run, as well as Goldymarg / Goldion Hammer, the Ul Tech Boosters and other parts for deep space mode, and the Gatling Driver. The CMs one is more fragile, its more of a collector figure, but it is far more accurate to the animation. It's small, though. Goldymarg is compatible with the Gaofighgar that's coming soon, and this one can also take CMs Dimension Pliers, which Takara never released.

CMs GGGG - Genesic is a different character in the anime, only appearing in FINAL 6-8. He's awesome but very fiddly. If you want a GGG, I'd recommend one of the others as they're the "iconic" version of the character.

Thanks for the info guys, I'm going to get the Star GGG I think. The pics I've seen of it are sweet.

Remember that the CM figures aren't traditional transformers. They have parts that are attached only for robot mode etc (I'm talking hidden parts, not like a combiner chest shield). IF you get the DX version, remember that Sonokong's release has grey parts instead of white.
